Angels' Share (Eau de Parfum) | Kilian" is a fragrance that I didn't warm to from the first spray. I tested the fragrance relatively after its release and was somehow not really convinced by the scent at first. But after I had more time with
Angels' Share Eau de Parfum and friends of mine have also worn the fragrance, it's a very nice boozy gourmand scent and almost worth the hype. However, I never had the heart to pay the almost 250€ for 50ml.
If you look around for alternatives, you will notice that there are now a lot of dupes and alternatives to
Angels' Share Eau de Parfum. Many people still claim that
Khamrah is the best alternative, especially in terms of price/quality. However, I have never understood this, as
Khamrah, but also candidates such as
Sharaf Blend are not at all modeled on the original according to my nose and also have another fragrance as a model, the
Sava. What has always been my biggest criticism of
Khamrah and its ilk is the boozy start of
Angels' Share Eau de Parfum.
And it is precisely this wonderful boozy start that we have here with
Royal Blend ! In my opinion,
Royal Blend is the best and most similar dupe I've tested so far, especially when it comes to cheaper alternatives. It comes very close to the original, except for the addition of a nice plum. This is one of the few differences I can smell between this fragrance and the original. Of course, if you test the two next to each other, you will smell differences, but without a comparison, hardly a chance.
In addition to the boozy opening with the juicy plum, the fragrance has this beautiful balance between boozy and gourmand, but without the gourmand aspect smelling too realistically like food. The whole thing is a warm, cinnamony scent, but not too overpoweringly sweet either. Truly a beauty for cold days and a must-try for gourmand lovers.
The packaging is also, as with many of these Arabian brands, as good as usual and the bottle looks really good, even if it is of course very clearly modeled on the original. Longevity is solid, if a little weaker than the original, but you still get your 8 - 10h and the projection is clearly present, especially at the beginning. It is also significantly less penetrating than the
Khamrah or the
Sharaf Blend P/L is of course much better than the original, currently you can get the fragrance for between 40 and 50€ for 100ml, there's nothing to complain about. I think the fragrance also makes a really nice gift. If you're looking for the fragrance that comes closest to
Angels' Share Eau de Parfum, I think you can't go past
Royal Blend.
