Dom Rosa Liquides Imaginaires 2013

I love so much this smell. It’s fizzy, uplifting and elegant. It’s fresh and freshly picked petals are light pink. It’s extremely attractive and pretty, Champagne note is astonishingly realistic. The scent doesn’t smell clearly fruity but sweet Pear makes a brilliant combo with tart Grapefruit. There is something green in it too. How all the notes work together is unexceptional. Dom Rosa would be great for example in wedding but the only problem is the longevity. It just doesn’t last long enough. That’s why I enjoy Dom Rosa after the shower during hot summer evenings. It works well during a crisp frosty day as well. It makes me feel like a princess. It’s not juvenile nor girly, it’s made for a lady with a style dressed in a seductive silky nightdress. The sillage is intimate so it must be smelled and felt close to the skin…

I haven’t tried Millesime version so I can’t tell if it has a better performance. But this is good enough for me. Not every fragrance has to be so potent or last all day.

Fruity champagne rose, more mixer than booze. Barbie sangria. I can’t even pretend to smell any woody notes. The fruitiness comes across as a peach-berry cocktail to my nose, similar to Régime des Fleurs’s Crushed Fruits, which also does a playful candy sangria. The vessel, especially with that Evanescence-esque font, had me hoping for a vampy y2k blood-wine, but she is more Charlotte Russe than Hot Topic. I shouldn’t complain, as Dom Rosa is a fun, femme rose with a super wearable rosé splash. But I feel she's something you could easily find in a Valentine’s Day body mist at Victoria’s Secret. And c’mon, you can’t put out an “Eau Sanguine” line and then fail to give her any gothic bite!

Mental Snapshot: Halloween 2004. Seventh grade. The first year you don’t go trick-or-treating. One of the almost-popular girls has you over for a sleepover. (Don’t worry, her rents are chill. And they’ve got an Xbox). You’re dressed as a Hex Girl. Y’know, from Scooby Doo? After a wild night of Dance Dance Revolution you both sneak into the garage and steal your first sip of alcohol. You're too nervous to know if you like it or not. (It’s from a baby-pink bottle of her mom’s prosecco). You are now officially popular.

First of all, let me mention the meaning of the fragrance: the meaning of the fragrance is very beautiful. This perfume is actually a beautiful accord of flowers and champagne. In this perfume, you feel the tenderness of the rose along with a very, very gentle gas-like feeling and a smell that has the romantic, sparkling and intoxicating qualities of champagne. The rose here is not sweet at all; it just instills its own softness and delicacy here.
It is a perfume that is both masculine and feminine. The softness of the flower can make the perfume lovable for women, and that gas-like and intoxicating feeling; It could be a factor in convincing men to buy this perfume.
I also think that it can be used by those who also have migraines; due to its softness and the lack of oriental and leather notes.

I question the inclusion of Dom Rosa in what is said by the own brand a trilogy inspired on wines. This is not a wine fragrance, but instead a champagne rose that, as the name already implies, focus on roses aroma mixed with a fizzy champagne accord.The same problem that happens with Bloody Wood happens with Dom Rosa: excellent opening, undistinguished evolution. The only difference is that Dom Rosa performance seems better than Bloody Woood in a way that this one doesn't become close to the skin after one hour. Irs opening reminds of the fruity, alcoholic, slightly acid and fizzy aroma of champagne at the same time it also makes you think of green roses, with their fruity nuances highlighted at the same time that their boozy nuances merges with the champagne accord. But something werid happens as the scent develop, thoses roses start to get too similar with a musky, fruity and floral aroma that seems perfect for a washing powder.The mineral incense and woody drydown helps to dissolve this impression, but it stays in peripheral part of the aroma, as if your fragrance is fight for attention with the wahsing powder aroma that remained on hyour clothes. This noise is very weird and strip a considerable exquisite character of this composition.

This perfume is a rose in sparking wine indeed. I can literally feel bubbles, which makes this perfume stand out many other fragrances which claim to refer to sparking wines.
It's my personal mood booster, i keep the bottle at my working table and put some extra sprays during stressful online meetings - it brings lightness and positive attitude.
I am fascinated by the brand itself, as they bring idea of perfumes as sacred liquids, and for me Dom Rosa perfume makes magic
