Ithaque Memo Paris 2023

Ithaque is an absolute masterpiece for anyone who, like me, is incredibly picky about citrus notes. I absolutely adore bergamota as an opening, but I tend to run away from mainstream citrus fragrances because so many of them cross the line into smelling like harsh, synthetic cleaning products. This, however, is the complete opposite. From the very first spray, it is incredibly sophisticated, ultra-natural, and brilliantly executed.

To me, Ithaque wears like a very soft, modern chypre. It feels exactly like a gentle breeze blowing through a beach surrounded by pine trees, with smooth pebbles under your feet. It evokes the perfect imagery of a slow summer afternoon: you’ve just finished an iced coffee, you are completely relaxed, and you’re just watching the sun go down while peacefully waiting for dinner time.

It is, without a doubt, the ultimate summer fragrance. It is the kind of scent you put on simply to remind yourself that life is beautiful. If you are looking for a high-end, breezy, and effortlessly elegant summer signature that feels authentic and close to nature, this is it.

Wow this is lovely. It has a bright, light and bubbly citrus-fruity opening with a fresh, sparkling character. As it begins to settle, a soft floral facet emerges beneath the citrus. As it dries down, some of the sparkling bubbly citrus softens. The composition remains citrus-forward but becomes smoother and less effervescent, with the fruity and light floral facets sitting closer to the skin. Definitely on my buy list.

Oh my— the joyous first smell of a full bottle of this nectar of the Gods! Opens with an intoxicating citrus almost melon like purge of the olfactory then dries into a yearning for more juice please… Sir! I keep going back to the crook of my elbow to smell this Bolero and wonder what alchemy is this … this succor of Demeter. The packaging is delightful and Memo has won my allegiance!

Ithaque is absolutely gorgeous. It's ambrox without being ambrox. Fresh without being aftershave or soap or dryer sheet. Citrus without being an ade. A beautiful sunny summer day in a bottle without the use of cloying white florals. Truly outstanding and the exquisite quality I've come to expect from Memo.

I can't wear white florals without getting a headache and I'm very selective about citrus fragrances. Fresh, clean scents are tricky because they often come off as too soapy or smelling too much like a dryer sheet for my taste. But this - this is a masterpiece of perfumery. An aromatic slight of hand. It's the warm weather fresh girl scent I didn't know I was waiting for.

This is a great spring/summer fragrance. Can definitely be worn all year around. This was a love at first sniff for me. Gave it a wearing from a free sample i received from Neimans, and i couldn’t get enough of the scent profile. This is a great citrus fragrance that actually last and makes a statement. Definitely a hidden gem in the house.
