Curiosity vs. Reason....
I recently received a Discoveryset from this fairly new brand.
Once again, curiosity has defeated reason ....denn "new" usually means "current" fragrance trends, and I am now known to be completely out :-D.....
One (namely this one) was there, which made my heart beat a little faster for a little moment....
LIVET VATTEN starts herbaceously fresh, slightly bitter and with a citrusy floral tinge.......at this stage, the overall impression is light green, unsweet and elegant.....with the onset of seaweed combined with redcurrant, it almost gives me the impression of a fougeres.....
This impression, however, does not last very long......In the further course it goes then increasingly warmer and more aromatic to.....the fragrance becomes, softer, woodier and for my nose even a little powdery....
And from here on I start to drop out....with every minute that passes, the base, which is often typical of Arabian perfumers, gains the upper hand.....I can't put my finger on exactly which fragrance note or chord it is that finally puts me off the scent.....possibly the sandalwood.....but I'm not sure.....also a certain sweetness now makes its entrance....probably starting from the tuberose.....and that's not really my cup of tea now either......
Synaesthetically, a change from light green to light brown with green speckles takes place in the course of the fragrance.....
Even if PANA DORA will not become "my" brand in the end, I am still convinced that the fragrances can and will find their lovers......I would definitely recommend a test.....if only because of the dreamlike flacons ;-).....
PS: From a rating I see in this case, because it is just basically not my fragrance direction......
