Curiosity vs. Reason....
Recently, a discovery set from this relatively new brand arrived at my place.
Once again, curiosity has triumphed over reason ....because "new" generally means "current" fragrance trends, and I am well known to be completely out of touch with that :-D.....
One (namely this one) was included that made my heart skip a beat for a brief moment....
LIVET VATTEN starts off herbaceous-fresh, slightly bitter, and with a citrus floral touch.......at this stage, the overall impression is bright green, unsweetened, and elegant.....with the onset of algae combined with blackcurrant, I almost get the impression of a fougère.....
However, this impression doesn't last particularly long......As the fragrance develops, it becomes increasingly warmer and more aromatic.....the scent becomes softer, woodier, and for my nose even a bit powdery....
And from here, I begin to disengage....with each passing minute, the base, often typical for Arabic perfumers, takes over.....I can't exactly pinpoint which note or accord it is that ultimately spoils the fragrance for me.....possibly the sandalwood.....but I'm not sure.....a certain sweetness also makes its entrance now....likely stemming from the tuberose.....and that's not really my thing either......
Synesthetically speaking, the scent evolves from light green to light brown with green speckles.....
Even though PANA DORA will ultimately not become "my" brand, I am still convinced that the fragrances can and will find their lovers......I would definitely recommend a test.....if only for the stunning bottles ;-).....
PS: I will refrain from giving a rating in this case, as it simply isn't my fragrance direction......
