Strong as the Queen
“Satia te sanguine, quem sitosti”
("satisfy yourself with the blood for which you thirsted, and for which you always remained insatiable") these words were uttered by Queen Tomyris, after having killed Cyrus the Great in defense of her people, and not only that: she beheaded him and outraged his body in various ways. It is said that she then kept the head of the slain Persian king and used it as a wine cup throughout her life.
