When a perfume is advertised as "inspired by", you can't help but compare it with the model.
Yes, Scrumptious is related to Sweetie Aoud. In my eyes, however, the two are by no means twins but rather first cousins - perhaps even siblings or half-siblings. There is already a family resemblance. Scrumptious is the somewhat scruffy party girl with little self-control and a penchant for the dramatic, while Sweetie Aoud is the tidy but thoroughly attractive, self-confident and, above all, disciplined nerd - although nerd is by no means to be understood in a negative sense here. Where Scrumptious is loud and spicy sweet, Sweetie Aoud is more restrained "bready" smoky. In my nose, the Roja is more subtle.
There was always something missing for me to really lump the two together. Now I see today that someone mentioned Black Phantom - Memento Mori as a fragrance twin. That's it! in my eyes, Sweetie Aoud layered with Black Phantom - Memento Mori is closer to Scrumptious than a direct dupe to Roja.
