Okay, vetiver fans! My favorite has to be Guerlain Vetiver. Clean, grassy, and sophisticated. It layers beautifully too! Lately, I've been experimenting by adding a touch of sweetness to cut through the dryness. It's like teaching a toddler good manners…or maybe that's just me needing a break from the Bad Parenting game! What are your favorite layering combos?

My personal Vetiver is Sultan Vetiver but Id also conside others like Vétiver Tonka , Vetiver Eau de Toilette , Sycomore (2016) Eau de Parfum and Bel Ami Vétiver to be amazing. Muh more classic than Sultan, which is super spicy, complex and a beaast. Really depends on ur tastes

Hi, @Stardust23. I love it. It`s not a dark vetiver, it's kind of green and juicy and those dark roast coffee beans are pretty enticing. It`s not a masculine vetiver, but it`s not feminine, either. I`m looking to buy it when I go to Paris this summer. But word of warning, the projection is moderate and it lasts about 3-4 hours on skin.

That, and Sycomore (2016) Eau de Parfum .

I don’t worry as much about performance, I just reapply but I certainly understand those that do hold performance with more weight. I want to sample this one now lol.

Vetiveria is wonderful

Of the vetivers that I have experienced, Vetiver Eau de Toilette is easily the top still. It's the only one I go back to, and the only one that has truly satisfied my craving for vetiver. Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver follows closely behind, as it's really good as well. I'd like to have a bottle of Grey Vetiver Eau de Parfum too as it's wonderful as well. Sycomore (2016) Eau de Parfum is absolutely gorgeous too, but the price tag is a bit scary.

Some others that are good but left me wanting for more are Sultan Vetiver which was great once it dried down for hours, but didn't smell particularly interesting until then. Vétiver Extraordinaire and Vetyverio Eau de Parfum are great, but they smell a bit too much like Guerlain to make them worth it. Original Vetiver was bad. I didn't even get any vetiver with it.
