Good morning ! SOTD is Encre Noire Eau de Toilette by Lalique

Signature Leather Tabac Cool rainy day today. Thought it would be perfect to try it out. Testing from a sample purchased directly from Zaharoff. So far, have not had much luck with the Zaharoff line. Signature Halfeti Black Rose I really liked and will be getting a FB. Then four duds: Signature Royale X , Signature Royale XXX , Signature pour Homme Eau de Parfum and Signature Noir Eau de Parfum . They aren't "duds" because they smell bad. On the contrary, they smell good but not great. That is, they aren't anything special that would entice me to buy a full bottle. Only two I have left to test are today's and Signature Tabac Eau de Parfum .

Today I'm wearing several sprays of Tom Ford Vanilla Sex from a store tester. This is my 5th time testing it and for the life of me I cannot detect what people claim is either a condom note or a pee note. It really feels like sometimes the power of suggestion takes over the minds of many reviewers. One wonders if everyone who reports smelling the off notes would actually smell them if they hadn't read about other's people's reported perceptions first. To me it's just an almondy vanilla tonka scent with a bit of hedione and a tinge of a leather note occasionally. It honestly reminds me a lot of Guerlain "Cuir Béluga | Guerlain" 🙃
