Best Vetiver perfumes 0

Hi everyone,

I have recently been exploring vetiver as a note and I am really enjoying the earthy, green, sometimes smoky vibe it brings. But as I am learning, it comes in many different moods from fresh and clean to dry and woody.

Some that I have tried and loved so far:

Guerlain Vetiver (vintage)

Lalique Encre Noire

Elie Saab Vetiver

I’m curious to know:

What are your favorite vetiver based perfumes? And if there are any hidden gems or underrated releases that are still reasonlably available?

Guerlain Vetiver Extreme

Bel Ami Vetiver Hermès

Terre D'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver

Vetiver Guerlain

Linen Vetiver Banana Republic (cheap but good)

If you like Encre Noire you’ll going to love II-III (homage to) Hemingway . It’s basically that but without the sharp edge. It has some leather notes that make it really interesting.

A nice summertime take on vetiver is St. Vetyver

The one to rule them all: Sycomore (2016) Eau de Parfum — a spiced, citrus-free perspective on vetiver that's still aromatic but just...hypnotic. Reminds me of lush forests from some forgotten island, there's no better vetiver to me. I like the Guerlain one too, and I'm curious to test Vetiver Gris too!

I love Encre Noire, so your suggestion of II-III (Hemingway) really caught my eye. Leather notes with smoother edges sounds very interesting.

My personal favourite vetivers are Vétiver, 701 - Leather & Vetiver, Encre Noire à L'Extrême and Cuir Vétiver.

Personal Top 3:

1. Vetiveria Animalis

2. Sultan Vetiver

3. She Came To Stay

You can’t go wrong with Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette or Terre d'Hermès Eau Intense Vétiver though.

I haven’t tried any of them yet, they all sound amazing! I Totally agree with you on Terre d’Hermès.
Which one would you recommend most for warmer days?

@Alshaibani when it comes to versatility and price, there’s only one king.

Sultan Vetiver

Apparently Guerlain has a new vetiver fragrance, Vétiver Fauve. This should be interesting.

Cant wait to try this, any idea when it would be available?

It's available to order on Guerlain's website right now. I'll probably wait until one of the decant sites have it in order to sample it first. I'm not located in an area with a store that sells the L'Art & La Matiere line and will not be visiting an area for at least a few months.

Vetiver Gris is more orange-iris-hazelnut combo, than vetiver. quite nice for what it is

Hiram Green Vetiver and Different Company Sel de Vetiver are two of my favorites. I second Hemingway also.

Discovered a new one @Alshaibani 😊

Symphonie-Passion has a sour opening, but then it’s all about grassy, smoky, spicy vetiver.

You may add Fat Electrician to the list as well, very enjoyable!
