If you like Ambre Narguile or L by Lolita Lempicka..

Reminds me alot of Ambre Narguile in the top notes. No matter if it's not all listed I find apples, vanilla, amber and cinnamon. At one point I experience it as a less balanced Ambre Narguile with added rum. The rum lifts the composition somewhat by adding an alcoholic edge, as if you had left the Narguile to ferment/brew a little. But I still prefer Narguile at this stage.
Later it has gone from Ambre Narguile into L by Lolita Lempicka, and I start to wonder why i did not find L here sooner. The mysterious apple stays all through the drydown which ends up warmly as L with yeah, added apple.
On second try I find the L notes alot sooner, but then again now I know they're there ;)
Beautiful, and if I hadn't found Narguile first and/or been a little tired of L, this would be perfect!

Boozy Vanilla Goodness

To me, this is everything Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille should have been. This is smoother and boozier, plus SDV performs about as poor as a fragrance can possibly get and is grossly expensive. Performance here is passable.

Strongly boozy vanilla with a gentle splash of citrus on top and the faintest hint of creamy-yet-powdery sandalwood beneath, all elevated by an airy jasmine. The jasmine blooms over time and, for better or worse, eventually becomes the dominant accord deep in the drydown. I like jasmine, but I'm not sure how I feel about it taking over everything else over time because the boozy vanilla is what I came for. Oh well. Moderate-soft projection for 2-3hr, longevity 5-6hr.

Flawless, but not mindblowing

This is a warm, cozy vanilla with lots of booze and a powdery texture. A touch of citrus lifts the fragrance and keeps it from being too heavy. Even though this is more of a fall/winter scent, I still found it pleasant and not cloying when I first tried it in the summer.

The vanilla and citrus blend in this reminds me a little bit of Xerjoff Lira and all its relatives, but otherwise they're not that close. Note Vanillée has rum and cognac instead of the cinnamon and Christmas spices you find in those fragrance. I also see a resemblance to Cologne of the Missions for the woodsy, powdery texture, but Note Vanillée is much better, deeper and more refined. On a certain other site people voted this as similar to Jessica Simpson Fancy, which I never would have thought of, but I can kind of see where the votes are coming from. There is something like caramel in this, too.

It's a beautiful scent that I like a lot, but don't love or desire. There is not a single thing about it that I dislike, but it misses the special spark that makes me fall in love. Maybe because it doesn't really stand out from other vanillas.
I still highly recommend to try it, especially if you like boozy, citrus and powdery notes in your vanillas.

Stroke of luck

After Velvet Tonka, I was looking for a lighter vanilla fragrance. Once again a blind purchase based on the reviews. As a beginner, I'm starting to know which fragrances I like and which I don't.
Sprayed it on at full risk (because I trust you guys) and was rewarded.
As I have learned that you have to get used to some fragrances first, this one was an instant hit. Vanilla with a difference, no scent tree, no ikea candle, no headache, just delicious. I'm inclined to go back for more. Addiction factor. At the moment, I find the development quite linear. I don't smell much jasmine. A favorite.
Let's see when my husband asks if we have any cookies left in the house.

Winter vacation in a mountain chalet with a crackling fireplace...

With Note Vanillée, you get a dreamy, creamy vanilla that is accompanied by an irresistible bozzy liqueur note.

The fragrance reminds me a lot of Bailey's... and there it is, a daydream comes over me...

....It's cold outside and winter is just around the corner. In my imagination, I'm spending a few relaxing days in a mountain chalet. It's bitterly cold outside, it's snowing and I'm sitting in front of a warm, crackling fireplace in my thickest woolen socks. In front of me is a hot cup of Baileys cream. My favorite rum chocolates from Sarrotti are also there... oh how lovely :))

"clear your throat" and now quickly back to reality and back to the scent.

Note Vanillée is warm, spicy and balsamic. Just right now that the temperatures are slowly dropping. It is definitely in season during the fall and winter months.

I don't want to say much about the longevity and silage, both are absolutely impressive.
And the bottle doesn't have to hide either. A simple, classic bottle design with an elaborate-looking cap. As if hammered from an ancient goldsmith's workshop.

All in all, I can recommend anyone who likes vanilla and subtle alcoholic notes to take a closer look at this fragrance.
