makes me feel at home

Dedicated to Amalfi and its beauties.
I wrongly imagined a fresh, exuberant fragrance, instead this is a warm, enveloping creation, one of those that ‘makes me feel at home’.
That touch of kindness in an unfamiliar ambience, that friendly smile, that puts you at ease.
The opening is slightly citrusy, but woody notes prevail, turning to sweet, I perceive a remotely vanilla sensation, probably given by the depth of the tonka bean.
I really like it, also because it has a slightly masculine undertone which, as I always claim, on a feminine skin is intensified and makes it irresistible.
Excellent performance, always appropriate.

A weak Eros

First of all, I have to mention that I think it's great what Birkholz is doing. A German perfume company from Berlin.

I ordered a sample of each fragrance, because I wanted to form my own opinion about the Birkholz perfumes and because I wanted to give a German company a chance.

There I have now arrived at the Wild desires. By the name, my expectation was high.
I sprayed it on my wrist and my first thoughts were.
"The scent is good but very very weak."

Vllt. Is it because of my skin but he is very restrained.

For the price, he smells a bit boring.
In my opinion, he smells like a high-quality version of Versace Eros. Which sounds good at first. However, the performance on my skin is underground.
Too bad

Then I rather reach for the Eros...

Mild Desires

Recently I have been overwhelmed by perfume advertisements. Birkholz is often among them. Marketing and product placement or not, the descriptions of some of the fragrances read quite interestingly and the 3ml sizes are great for testing! I have therefore ordered the Citrus Sommelier Set, among others, and will review these in turn.

So today Wild Desires. To be honest, I don't find it that wild. But, first things first, about the fragrance:

Of the four fragrances in the Citrus Collection, Wild Desires comes in fourth place for me. I can't verify the similarity to Boss Bottled Eau de Toilette because it's been years since I smelled it.

Overall, the fragrance undergoes quite a transformation, starting fresh and fruity with the apple in the top note and then sliding more and more into a warm, vanilla direction. Regardless of how you feel about this fragrance, I don't think it fits in the "Citrus" collection one hundred percent.

I'd estimate the longevity to be around 7 hours, maybe more, but that's not a rip-off. The perceptibility is also given. If the spray head on the 3ml version is the same as on the bottles, you can definitely spray a little more.

All in all, this fragrance is really (!) not bad. Personally, it has too much vanilla for me. For me, Wild Desire should somehow smell bolder, more mysterious, hornier, even wilder. This is more like a friendly hug over lunch with an ex-colleague. As beautiful as it is harmless. A well-rounded and well-rounded all-rounder that you can take to the office or out for a casual evening meal. It's definitely not a freshie and, in my opinion, is better suited to spring and fall than summer.

Elegant but calm

Really has some Boss Bottled in him. I bought it for myself and it has been very well received by all the people I have shown it to.

Sillage and durability okay in my opinion, but could be better.
But close to the skin it smells good and is also very well received :)

For me the fragrance is very elegant and I like to wear it. I think the bottle and the packaging or the whole packaging is great.
I like Birkholz very much so far :)
