Pleasing oud scent from an interesting house!
Birkholz, never heard of it! Wasn that? Interesting!
I was quite flashed by the presentation of this house and its counter in an exclusive branch of a well-known cosmetics and perfume store chain here with us.
Here in Mannheim there is a branch of this chain also a selection of niche fragrances and houses leads like Armani prive, Creed, Tom Ford, Atkinson u.a. and just also Birkholz leads! Hold the niche firecracker!
So I was all the more surprised to find myself standing in front of the Birkholz counter! Never heard of it, never seen it...
AHA, there I stood and was already completely blown away by the presentation. The beautiful bottles, the concept, the philosophy. The little stories and fragrance descriptions to the individual noble waters!
I tested the firecracker of the house like Lady Cannabis and others and went home a little frustrated first, because so really touched me only the Iconic Oud and the Dark Amber. Both beyond my purchasing power!
At home, the Webpräsens viewed and my enthusiasm just continued. A German house, in Berlin, led by a sympathetic family. Passion and know-how. I really wanted to have a fragrance from Birkholz in the collection. Must have for a perfumer in my opinion. Only which one?
I was most taken with the fragrances of the Black Collection series, which are as mentioned but beyond my financial means and so I decided instead of Iconic Oud for Supreme Oud, which is in no way inferior to the quality of the exclusive fragrance! (I now own Iconic Oud as a bottling, Dark Amber too. Thanks goes out to Angelina Patchouli!)
So I sniffed my way through all the Birkholz bottles at the big D on several visits to the store. (The chat me already not at all more, since they know that I only sniff)
Some great things with it only partly very vanilla-heavy and because I just have a weakness for oud I just stuck to Supreme Oud and crept for weeks around this bottle, because I have meanwhile already good 500 euros in bottlings etc rausgeschmissen, and thought about whether it really has to be. Yes it must and there is still parfumo. So looked here and actually shot a flacon in the souk!
Supreme Oud is a perfume for the grand entrance. Indeed!
If one is a person of the appearances well can and against this fragrance with charisma anstrahlt it is also quite portable in everyday life.
He is opulent and addictive, if you like Oud. If not goes vllt also, because the oud here is well interwoven in with the other notes and harmonizes well. Also it is a very pleasing, for me rather mild oud! The stable oud is also not so mine!
