I am a little bit in love
The Corsica from the new French Collection by Birkholz somehow appealed to me. With its fresh, citrusy, aquatic impressions, this fragrance is perfect for summer.
However, everything here is somehow so soft and delicate that Corsica comes across as wonderfully elegant. It also has a very subtle sweetness and the listed sea salt is not immediately noticeable to me, but it does give the fragrance a certain "vacation by the sea" flair.
The fragrance starts directly with these great fresh, citrusy and aquatic impressions.
However, as mentioned above, everything seems so soft and delicate.
It's definitely not a pungent citrus bomb. This mix of lime, mint, bergamot and violet leaf is simply very finely crafted. The notes harmonize perfectly with each other.
The whole thing is also accompanied by a very subtle sweetness The sweetness is also super subtle. The listed sea salt adds to this vacation character. But don't worry, it's by no means a salty fragrance if you don't like that.
Towards the end, you can feel this very creamy sandalwood on a good portion of musk.
However, the fresh impressions can still be recognized, albeit much more discreetly.
Not much more happens then.
In other words, it is a fairly linear fragrance. But as I've mentioned many times before, I don't find that bad. I actually quite often like these linear progressions, especially in summer fragrances.
In conclusion, Corsica is definitely worth testing.
I personally really, really like it. It was the second fragrance I was able to test from Birkholz.
The first fragrance was Portraits of Portofino, which I also liked very much.
