Lady Cannabis Birkholz 2019

I would have loved this one if it was more about cannabis and rum. It sounds delicious, theoretically. The cannabis note, tho, its very mild, the rum is there but not as strong as I wished it to be. A bit sad... But there's a good point: I really like the apricot liqueur note I get during the drydown. A special kind of fruity booziness.

I rarely enjoy cannabis as a note in perfumes, as it tends to smell like stale half-smoked joints on my skin. But here I really, really like it! The main star of the scent is osmanthus, a smooth, leathery, and slightly boozy apricot. Cannabis adds a certain aromatic and, I would say, even sophisticated edge, the kind I never expected to experience here. I think the tea note is also helping. Overall, Lady Cannabis is one smooth operator :D Excellent!

We start here with a very fruity-serious apricot, which I really like. Neither too sweet nor too artificial. Very subtle and wonderfully complementary to the rum accord, which can be detected shortly afterwards.

A little confused by the name, I wait eagerly for the cannabis notes to appear, but the apricot doesn't want to give way quite so quickly. Fortunately for me, because the boozy bar atmosphere remains in the room. Only after about half an hour do the cannabis notes take over. They are pleasant and soon combine with the leather and osmanthus. The fragrance lasts longer than average. It really is a special fragrance that I have never experienced before.

However, there is one point that bothers me. I think you should have opted for a rush. It could either be a bar visit like the Fovere or a couch session with cannabis like the Pink Jesus , but the two together don't harmonize so well for me.

In some circles, one drinks a liqueur and in others, one smokes a joint - but as a well-mannered and well-off lady? Actually not! This fragrance starts off a bit fruity, with rum-soaked apricots, hmmm delicious.
But don't be fooled, now a smoke rises, this forbidden substance yet with a pleasant aroma. It is paired with a cup of truly noble and expensive Assam tea. A refined tea culture to enjoy everything in peace. The tea is served in fine, delicate cups, of course in the smoking lounge where a thin wisp of smoke from the just-lit cannabis cigarette wafts its aroma. Noble, old furniture polished to perfection tells its story in this room. Everything mixes and fills my lungs. I let my thoughts embark on a journey, but in the next moment, I jump up and run full speed up the green hill, letting myself be caught by the old trees of the forest that always whisper softly. Wonderful to be this free spirit once again, but does such a lady behave this way? My mother's voice admonishes me, but I know she is smiling knowingly behind my back and winking at me.
You can definitely smell the cannabis, but also this noble tea leaf, fine woods, and this very subtle fruity note. I don't pick up the pepper so much, maybe it refines the cannabis and softens it. A great fragrance that lies in a brown aristocratic wooden box as if it needs to mature in peace, very fine. The price also enters the luxury range, so what, we only live once. This fragrance belongs to a brave woman who is a well-mannered lady. But her heart is free, wild, overflowing, yet always lovable.
I do not want to encourage anyone to try forbidden substances or fruits; this is just my association with a very successful perfume.

A few days ago, I happened to stop by Birkholz in Oberpollinger in Munich. Premium fragrances from Germany always interest me particularly. After some sniffing, the lady there said she had a scent that would suit me. She showed me Lady Cannabis.

Well, what can I say, the lady seems to have an excellent eye for a true lady. The name of the perfume reminded me of my youth, which I partly spent in the “Age of Aquarius” movement. Although I embody a true lady today, I have always remained wild and free at heart.
The scent, a true revelation. A beautiful, elegant, feminine fragrance that continues softly and finely nuanced from the very beginning. Neroli and tea notes with a hint of blonde tobacco remain subtle, cool-scented, and attractive. Only the slightly herbal note, however, makes it something special. But only a connoisseur would be able to identify it as the scent of good grass.
