I expected you to be different. But that's not meant negatively.
California Breeze is somehow a different kind of scent than I expected. I was anticipating more fresh vibes. Somehow I thought of a cool, citrusy summer fragrance. I hadn't looked at the notes. In any case, it’s not quite like that.
Nevertheless, it does have fresh, citrusy hints.
The fragrance starts off a bit citrusy and fresh. You can also immediately sense a certain sweetness. Not that synthetic designer sweetness that seems to be in every second fragrance from the classic range, don’t worry.
It’s a sweetness tinged with vanilla, which is really pleasant and beautiful. At the same time, it has a very nice and subtly spicy character.
The longer the scent sits on the skin, the more the vanilla comes through. The fresh impressions from the first moments completely fade for me.
But the vanilla doesn’t overwhelm anyone. It’s not sticky sweet and too heavy, but really pleasant and beautiful. It also blends with amber, and let’s be honest, the combination of amber + vanilla always works.
The longevity for me is around 7-8 hours. It projects quite well at first, but then noticeably fades.
California Breeze is also wonderfully unisex.
Unfortunately, it has been discontinued.
I think many would still love to buy this fragrance.
