the sweet air coming from pastry shops
Sitting in Paris, perceiving the sweet air coming from pastry shops on a spring day.
Charm Mistery is a sweet fragrance, with a juicy, mature peach, surrounded by flowers at the full bloom of their blossom, creating a truly ethereal, spring-like atmosphere.
In my opinion it tends more towards the feminine, representing a concentration of conscious but innocent sensuality at the same time, a must for flower lovers.

A Biteable Fragrance… with REAL PROOF!!!
So, you UNBELIEVERS!!!

Oh, first of all, good evening everyone :)

But now: SO, YOU UNBELIEVERS!!!

Look at my title. What does it say? Yes, exactly! Something I have told you before. Something I have told you often. Literally for years now! A fragrance that makes you want to take a bite. And you never believed me. You laughed at me. Thought I was crazy… tss…

But now… now I have the ultimate proof that there are fragrances that make you want to bite. Because I discovered this fragrance here. Charm Mystery by Birkholz. And no, unfortunately, I wasn't bitten… not at all *sniff and sigh*

But: In the perfume shop where I saw the fragrance… guess what was written there! Yes yes… you should really check for yourselves. I admit I only took a quick snapshot, but take a look in my album (in the regular album, not the perfume album, because I would have to submit the picture here)! What does it say on the plaque for this fragrance? Yes, exactly! It actually says "The fragrance to bite!" Mu ha ha ha. And this is also mentioned on several pages about this fragrance if you search for it! I told you. Again and again, and there it is now. Black on white! Well, since it was a golden plaque, it’s actually black on gold, but it’s there!! And now you are all speechless!!!

He he he :D

Well then. Birkholz is a brand I hadn’t heard of until now. I only discovered it a few days ago, and it seems there are quite a few nice fragrances, including Green Garden, for example. However, I still need to sniff through these fragrances, so I can’t say much about them yet. But it’s interesting that you can layer these fragrances together, somewhat similar to Jo Malone fragrances. And the manufacturer also provides tips on which fragrances layer best together, although I find that some of the fragrances I have briefly sniffed so far work well on their own, like this one here, which has a lovely, sweet floral scent.

The Fragrance:
I find that the fragrance starts directly with sweet floral jasmine, as I can’t really smell any lemons or mandarins in the top notes. But the jasmine is immediately recognizable, it smells pleasant and beautiful. A few minutes later, you can smell the peaches, which give the fragrance a fruity touch, but they are a bit weak and start to fade after about fifteen minutes.
In the background, there are faint roses, as you can only smell them briefly, since throughout the entire fragrance development, the jasmine is always the most prominent.
Later, from the base, the fragrance becomes a little heavier-floral, as it seems to me that there is ylang-ylang in it (which also has a slightly earthy scent later on). This lasts for about two hours, after which this ylang-ylang-like note becomes a bit weaker. The fragrance is also sweeter in the base, as the vanilla starts to smell really good, which makes the fragrance more powdery. The musk that follows adds another (darker) sweetness, and due to the powdery touch of the vanilla, it feels cleaner and is generally a seductive scent. And it remains like this until the end, making it a truly wonderful fragrance!

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is good, as I could still smell the fragrance I sprayed on my wrist outside in the cold for a little while under my thicker jacket. It has a generally stronger aura and is definitely noticeable. The longevity is also very good, as the fragrance lasts longer than twelve hours.

The Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular, no actually even square, and feels solid. It has a golden label on the front and a golden cylindrical cap. A leather band has been attached around the cap, which looks nice and comes in a different color for each fragrance; for this one, it is reddish-pink. A nice bottle.

So!
Well, should I say it again? He he! Is the fragrance now biteable? :D
I would say: Yes! Okay, in the initial phase of the base, I might not like the described heavier floral note because it reminds me a bit of ylang-ylang, and I find that flower a bit cloying, but this impression lasts only one to two hours at most, and secondly, that doesn’t mean the whole fragrance is bad during that time, as many beautiful scents like vanilla and musk also smell lovely and contribute their beautiful scent, which softens this heavier floral note. Oh, and thirdly, this will only bother me a little, so I think you ladies might actually like the fragrance very much. So I say: Yes, the fragrance makes you want to bite :)

After all, it smells of sweet jasmine and seductive musk, making it indeed very lovely and especially suitable as a fragrance for going out and seducing and… well, I can really say it again:… as I said, to make you want to bite, mu ha ha ha! :DD
So give it a try, you might like it too. It can be found, for example, in larger Douglas stores, like the big fragrance temple on Zeil in Frankfurt.

Well, in any case, the Birkholz brand started off very well for me, and I hope to discover more beautiful fragrances from this brand over time!

So then, until next time, and have a nice evening :)

Love at First Scent
Saturday mornings in the perfume store. Difficult territory for me, since I was never served at the store with D, for whatever reason. I always had to know what I wanted. This time I was at P and a maximum difficult customer, because I only knew I wanted a new scent. Fresh, but not too lemony and please no aquatic scent. Sweet and floral would be nice, but not too sweet. Yes, and then it should have that certain sensual something.
The saleswoman, an absolute fragrance lover, needed only two scents before she found mine. Away from the mainstream to something I had never smelled before. And Birkholz, a brand I probably would never have reached for. Maybe also because I am allergic to birch. :D

I let the scent settle on my skin, even though I already knew that it would be coming home with me. It’s one of those fragrances that feels like home on my skin. Welcome! What a wonderful scent!

Delicately Melting Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day can be a truly lovely day. Even though I am not fond of the idea of giving something small to my loved one on a specific day, I am still pleased to hold something small in my hands on this day. This year, I decided to gift my beloved a small present from the Fragrance & Flowers department, thanks to the effective marketing by Birkholz. It was a beautiful box containing an infinity rose, and inside the box with a magnetic flap, there was a small sample of a Birkholz fragrance. Since my wife enjoys wearing very floral scents, I chose the Charm Mystery. From the statements, I could somewhat infer that this is not an overly sweet fragrance, which made it even more exciting, as the feminine collection at home consists mostly of sweeter floral friends. To make it even more intense, I had the infinity rose scented directly with the perfume.

What can I say?
The surprise was a complete success.

The scent is really very pleasant to my nose, even as someone who dislikes intense rose fragrances. There are extremely many dry flowers enveloped in a light creaminess. I think my nose appreciated that the flowers are a mix of rather subtle rose and some white flowers. Additionally, there is a very discreet fruitiness from the indicated peach. Ultimately, the accord is wrapped in delicate and dry vanilla. I am by no means a fan of floral scents, but this one is truly very pleasant.

The skin test was also very convincing, as I kept sniffing my wife's neck. On the skin, it did not feel as dry as on a test strip or the infinity rose, but it was still far from having any sweaty notes.

In terms of sillage, the fragrance was within the range I know from her other scents. There is a good half meter of fragrance around you in the first hours, making it easy to get through the day. After a workday, the scent is still perceptible on the skin and is therefore sufficiently concentrated. What was interesting for me was that it does not have the same problem as my Berlin Fever, which somewhat isolates itself from the wearer, causing the sillage to drop significantly. Here, one spray on the wrist is a must to experience the scent throughout the day.

The floral, creamy elegance in a bottle
Charm Mystery is a really beautiful, soft, and elegantly floral fragrance. It might lean a bit more towards the feminine side for my personal taste, but still, this scent can be worn well by a man too.

The fragrance opens with a very, very slightly fruity mandarin.
Additionally, the floral notes come to the forefront right away, along with the super lovely peach note.
Overall, it is really beautifully sweet and creamy. This creamy, sweet facet carries through to the end.

Towards the end, a very gentle vanilla comes in.
The floral notes are also present, but subtle. They are never particularly strong or overwhelming, but always there and noticeable.

The scent lasts about eight hours on my skin, which pleasantly surprised me.
The sillage is also really quite good!

A run-of-the-mill boring fruity-floral. Not necessarily bad, but you've smelled it a thousand times before, and can get it much cheaper.

Light fruity notes (peach) with jasmine on creamy-sweet vanilla and lots of musky fluff. Too strongly synthetic for my taste.

Sweet, synthetic fruity-floral. Peach-musk cream with gentle flowers + vanilla powdered sugar. More of a mainstream scent. Not for me.

A bit boring-lifeless-artificial, like a signature scent for the cautious. Better over time, with a hint of coffee?

Pleasant, fruity scent like many others. Unfortunately, nothing special at all. Peach barely comes through. You can have it, but you don't have to.
