A real energy boost

Citrus Spash is a real energy boost.
A fragrance inspired by Tulum, a marvellous city in Mexico that is witness to the genius and beauty of Mayan architecture.
Juicy lemon, squeezed and balanced by the gentle, in this case not bitter, notes of orange blossom, with a slightly subtle floral side that only enhances the citrus nuances of this delightful creation.
A fragrance to be used always, refreshing, cheerful, to always see the sun, even in the darkest moments.
Very good duration and sillage.

Splish Splash - today I take a lemon ...

Over 40°C in Germany. It's thaw for fat men and the whole nation is sweating collectively. In this climate, you either don't use any perfume at all or you decide on something aquatic, fruity, fresh - or even with the all-rounder lemon.

Although this is only thematically present in Citrus Splash by Birkholz, bergamot and neroli are roughly citrus fruits and spread the aura of summer freshness and lightness - something you would like to spray on your tongue. For the first few seconds, the eau de parfum gets down to business in a poundy-sour way, without giving the impression of toilet cleaner or artificiality.

Unfortunately, the effect fizzles out faster than from now until now. What follows is a minimal approach of tea with a floral base, followed by some bergamot, which is pressed deeper and deeper until the slightly woody cedar develops.
Surprisingly, the base note lasts for many hours, albeit very timidly and close to the body.

All in all, I would have expected a little more from Citrus Splash. After all, the Berlin fragrance label Birkholz otherwise does quite a good olfactory job, even though its marketing is quite bumpy. Also the prices are absolutely self-confident, but at least you have to keep in mind that you also offer small sizes.

Nevertheless I prefer to take a bath instead of lemon in this weather ... a beautiful cool above all!

Wanted: volatile lemon

Police in Berlin and Brandenburg are searching for a fugitive citrus (presumably lemon / bergamot). She was last seen on the AVUS in the south of Berlin at a significantly increased speed in a convertible and was wearing a white, opaque neroli dress. Other characteristics: White flowers in her hair, likes to drink tea, extremely shy. Pertinent references takes the service station in Kleinmachnow.

Actually an interesting work that Birkholz serves here. The citrus is embedded in flowers and from the beginning very smooth, hardly any acidity or sharpness. Birkholz has also managed to create a fragrance with clearly perceptible neroli in the top note, which nevertheless does not make me think of 4711 for a second. A hint of tea I imagine like the previous speakers also to smell and the woody base note gives the whole fragrance a gentle, warm touch. From the fragrance character yet clearly to sort into the summer.

Overall, a really pretty fragrance with unfortunately short shelf life and overall a bit arg skin experience. The performance is unfortunately somewhat expandable and so remains in the four-part Citrus Sommelier Collection of Birkholz unfortunately only a (respectable) place 3 of 4.

Am in the Oberpolinger in the...

... Perfume department, where department is an understatement, it's the whole floor, and I'm standing at Birkholz, or is it? I spritz a fragrance on a strip and get a fresh citrusy scent in my nose and am immediately reminded of Echt kölnisch Wasser from 4711, only here the typical clean scent is missing at the beginning, which is also quickly gone with the original. And yet it is somehow different. Should I buy this one?

When you apply this fragrance, the first thing you notice is a strong citrusy but not synthetic scent. There are very delicate floral notes mixed in. The freshness lingers the whole time, which is unfortunately not that long. The musk gives this perfume a dry twist and the woody accord makes it a little fuller.

The longevity and silage are average.

Here we have a fragrance from Birkholz that is very reminiscent of Echt kölnisch Wasser and yet is also somewhat different. This is definitely a unisex fragrance. I see the single age as from the late twenties to the early thirties and then open at the top. It is a nice fragrance for during the day at work, at a meeting, while shopping, in a coffee shop or at the gym. For the evening, this fragrance is simply too light for me and would only be perceived close to the body.

If you like a strong citrusy floral dry woody fragrance, this is a good choice. We can discuss the price of this fragrance.
