Conquer The Dark
The fifth and last fragrance I tested in the exclusive Perfume Bay Collection is Conquer. Its black bottle stands for spiritual strength and victory, but above all also for black gold, oil.
The fragrance starts directly with one of the most beautiful oriental combinations of saffron and myrrh. Warm and spicy they set the theme of the fragrance. This olfactory theme is very dominant over the first few hours and only hesitantly lets the nose find other nuances in the fragrance.
Honey and suede then find their way into the light from the third hour onwards and let the oriental notes sparkle once more. Fortunately, the fragrance does not become creaky or honey-sweet. He simply gets a light erotic, sensual direction that really suits him.
He remains very relaxed, but self-confident. Not only for me, but also for my environment the scent is always very well perceptible. He's very positive.
In the later course, and at about 7 to 8 hours, the fragrance slowly recedes in its sillage and opens to beautiful woody notes that accompany us throughout the drydown.
Conquer is a spicy oriental with slightly animal sensuality, which, like all other fragrances in the collection, is perfectly wearable and has a day-long shelf life. Who likes scents, as for example Ambre Orient, will find here also very much joy.
For me, it is the darkest fragrance in the Perfume Bay Collection and its black bottle absolutely deserves it
