Paint Thinner and Tequila
On initial blast you are greeted with something so hard, it smells like turpentine or paint thinner. After a little bit of settling you're left with what smells very much like Tequila to me.

I don't know about this one, as much as I have loved other things from this house, this one is just not something I want to smell like. There is just too much of that tequila / rubbing alcohol / paint thinner smell that sticks around.

I guess for what it's worth, it's blended well? because it's awfully hard to pick out any individual notes.

7 out of 8 ain't bad!
I have loved the BTV line of fragrances since I became familiar with the house. I've purchased 8 so far and 7 are wonderful. Blue Sapphire is by far my favorite. Valiant I like a lot, but It's not worth the price in my opinion. I got samples first of 5 of the 8 BTV fragrances I now own, but blind bought 3 of them. I wish I had gotten a sample of Green Sapphire also. I can say without argument that this is the worst fragrance I have ever worn. Frankly, it smells like bug spray. In the beginning it's just awful plain and simple and takes a very long time to dry down from this horrible opening. After it dries down it becomes a lot more tolerable but still isn't great. After a few hours it became nice to the nose but by this time, I was weary of this and just wanted it off. For me this was just unpleasant overall. I had high hopes for Green Sapphire, I wanted it to be another BTV fragrance that I loved and wore often, but this one was far, far, far, from that. I'm clear that others have had a different experience with this fragrance but I can't believe I'm the only one who has had this one.

Pine Solvent
The opening is harshly industrial, like a pine tree dunked in solvent, and it just keeps growing in intensity.

It’s so intolerable that I caved and washed it off after about 10 minutes. Even if the dry down is the greatest thing in the world, there is no way I’d be able to power through that beginning every time.

I’ve seen this described as “challenging” and I beg to differ. “Challenging” is for fragrances which are unusual or complex (both of which I enjoy). This is just bad. It’s bad! If it was produced by a less prestigious house (read: cost less), I doubt anyone would try to defend it.

Projection is intense, longevity is unknown given I couldn’t tolerate having it on my body for long, and gender is absolutely no one should wear this.

The Jade Emperor
"Green Sapphire" costs more than some good used car offers, if you can even get it at all. Can a fragrance be worth that much? No, of course not, objectively speaking. But that's a completely different discussion. As for the scent: it is actually pricelessly good...

Like a captivating blend of the original "M7" and a Nasomatto - I think that describes it quite well. Velvety, mossy, oud-woody, and simply indescribably voluminous, dense, beautiful. A royal fragrance at a royal price. Juicy, it kicks off the imagination without taking any prisoners. Raspberries kiss agarwood, cashmeran caresses musk, Asia looks over at Africa without completely losing sight of Europe. Almost too grand to wear... "Green Sapphire," the name promises a lot and sounds grandiloquent - but when such a gem is inside, it is allowed. Some Boadiceas may hardly live up to their own claims and prices - this one does. And which 600-euro fragrance can you say that about?! Simply delicious and to be indulged in. Impressive. Highly impressive. Right down to the fragrance peaks. And for a (new) whisky fan like me, even with bonus points. Musty and magnifique.

Bottle: could only be more noble with diamonds on it
Sillage: with a broad, hairy, and muscular chest leading the way
Longevity: feels like ∞

Conclusion: one of the densest, noblest, and most deserving of its (already high-flying) name fragrances I have ever had on my skin. A truly big, very expensive thing. In every respect. You don't even know where to turn...

Eternity (in Raspberry-Oud)
The sapphire is said to possess various healing properties. It is also believed to have a protective effect. It represents spirit and honor. Its significance in human history is as diverse as the coloration of corundum. It has been worn by Egyptian priests as well as by monarchs. Almost indestructible. Only diamonds are harder. Thanks to Boadicea, these treasures can now be worn as a fragrance.

When I first caught a whiff of Green Sapphire, generously included as a bonus with a collective order, I was captivated. I treasured the small sample like a gem and was completely enchanted by the power present even in the tiniest concentrations of this perfume.

The opening with raspberry and saffron is a true dream. Added to this is a lightly woody-dry, smoky oud that perfectly transforms with cypriol (nargamotha) and cashmeran. This creates a subtly vibrating wood aura that already carries delicate oriental tendencies. Above all, the deep red, ripe raspberry floats, somehow translating all the floral sweetness into its name, thus creating a harmonious overall picture. The musky quality in cashmeran, paired with the white musk in the base, provides a certain expansiveness to the scent. It never feels heavy. Yet it is very dense. Without being overwhelming.

For hours, it remains this way, and only after about 5 hours do I notice that the fragrance gradually makes more room for musk, cedar, and sandalwood. This transition is so organic and flowing that there is no discernible break. The scent is deeply balsamic yet fresh-fruity.

A true gem that is worth every cent that Boadicea asks for it. A raspberry-(wood-)oud. A unique piece.

Pine needle, cedar, milky sandalwood, cypriol/oud and a pinch of raspberry creates a strange MEDICINAL creamy concoction.

A warm and creamy, oriental spicy-woody Fall fragrance, with a rather pungent, medicinal spicy-green opening. Male-oriented.

People think this is challenging? This is one of the most inoffensive fruity leather scents I’ve smelled.

Thrilling wood bitters, tamed florals, perfect dry, got the real neat entity to it on that 5°C foggy stroll.

A contrasting scent. Earthy and mossy, with clear raspberry, subtly noticeable oud, and floral undertones. Elegance with an edge, just typical of BtV.

Tendency towards a neoclassical leather-raspberry direction (TL), but with distinct personal accents: medicinal oud and wood support it.

In search of the green diamond... there was plenty of whisky and a few raspberries. Then we fought our way through the mossy underbrush.
