Elegance in a Bottle
In the following, I will review the Torc Boadicea the Victorious, a floral as well as oriental fragrance from 2015, divided into 8 parts.

1. Scent

2. Performance

3. Bottle + Packaging

4. Wearability

5. Age?

6. More for men or for women?

7. Price-performance ratio

8. Final evaluation

In the scent development, the raspberry and green apple are initially noticeable. After both start to recede into the background, the blackcurrant becomes the main note.

Now let’s move on to the heart note. I immediately notice the oud and the rose, as well as the pepper, which increasingly pushes itself to the forefront. Saffron is consistently and distinctly perceptible throughout the scent development.

In the base note, the woods and leather are very prominent.

The performance is relatively good, and I can additionally say that I could smell it on my clothing for 8 hours.

The bottle is a feast for the eyes with beautiful engravings and details (floral patterns) on the packaging.

If you don’t overdo it with the dosage when applying, the fragrance can be worn excellently. Depending on the environment, such as at work or in closed rooms, the scent might be perceived as less pleasant by others. I could best imagine wearing it during an evening walk in winter or autumn.

I would recommend the fragrance more for an older audience. The scent is very mature and not particularly sweet, which younger fragrance lovers tend to prefer.

I would say that this fragrance leans more towards the masculine side. However, I could see it on women just as well. So, a lovely unisex fragrance.

The price-performance ratio is in the mid-range here. In my opinion, the price is justified for its performance. 100 ml costs 380 euros. If you compare this to a Xerjoff, that would be 190 euros per 50 ml. So still within the realm of possibility. A sharing would be my recommendation ;)

Final evaluation:
The fragrance blew me away from the first moment. A truly beautiful floral/oriental scent that I can only recommend.

The way to combine saffron and oud, and the quality of the oud note, reminds of some Montale scents (not in terms of pricing).

Boring, fruity, very subtle oud. It may be well-constructed, but you’ve just smelled this as rose-oud often and also has...

Oud-Patchouli-Sandalwood-Vanilla-Rose-Saffron.
Fruity-floral? No, not at all.
I like it, but it's not innovative.

Somewhere between Blamage, Generation Man, Ex.Id/33 & Fars. If you're looking for a cross-section, you’ll find Torc. Unfortunately, not much new.

Strong, heavy, long-lasting rose-oud scent with an initially sharp woody note. However, the fragrance isn't anything special now...

The same old and overloaded scents in this brand's inflationary quantity just bore me, fruity-light-pungent-oud-y-nooo!

Adventurous mix of exclusive ingredients (oud, sandalwood, patchouli, jasmine, etc.) ultimately leans too much towards mainstream: too much isn't good!

A mixed store of many fruits, flowers & woods. Over it all hovers subtle oud. More is definitely not necessarily better.

Fruity-floral... the oud is very well hidden. The top notes are too overpowering. And then there's the rose... high-quality mainstream.

Fruity, berry-like with a hint of oud.
It gets better in the drydown, but at the start, it smells like a women's fragrance from Paco Rabanne or something...
