You are as hot as a volcano
There are a trilliausen of rose fragrances. Young roses, old roses, classic roses, modern roses, unconventional roses and beautiful roses. But there is only one burning rose. And this one in a million was created by Olivier Pescheux for Carolina Herrera.
Burning Rose is clearly recognizable as an oriental fragrance. Which is fitting, as it is apparently only available offline in Arab countries. It is not the umpteenth oriental fragrance, but it stands out. By remaining light even though it is heavy. A paradox and therefore the first point that makes the fragrance so exciting.
When you first spray it on, you get a bizarre rose. The ginger provides us with a bizarre (heureka what a word) scent. The rose is powerful and delicate, like a siren it lures you in and then dazzles you with its full radiance.
This absolutely perfect rose is then joined by the spiciness and depth of cinnamon, making the fragrance round and soft and also somehow heavy without being overpowering. This combination of sublime rose and the perfect spiciness of cinnamon ignites the blossom and keeps it burning throughout the fragrance.
And that's it for the progression. It sounds far too simple, but Burning Rose really is absolutely unique and completely lives up to its name.
Longevity is outstanding, I can still smell it the next day. Sillage is typically oriental but not quite so much with the crowbar.
I have to expand a little on the price/performance ratio. I mean, the price for this range is 250 euros. I think that's okay for what not only Burning Rose offers but also the other fragrances (be sure to try them out, there are some real treasures here). I would be prepared to pay that, as I think it is still reasonable compared to other exclusive designer lines.
But now to my "insider tip". If you, as a common Allmann, happen to be in Egypt on your next vacation, then take a look at Hurghada Airport. There are a few of the fragrances there and they cost the equivalent of around 180 euros (no guarantee).
To put it in Florian Silbereisen jargon: The Burning Rose has triggered a burning passion in me.
