Invigorating Summer Flanker
There is something strangely enticing about a man that smells crisp and citrusy during the Summer months. Light Blue Living Stromboli screams masculinity. It's not so different to the original Light Blue for Men, however this flanker is a touch more peppery.

The men in my life prefer wearing rich, sweet and spicy fragrances, so I very rarely smell aquatics or citrus-based scents on their skin. I often resort to smelling these types of fragrances on passers-by or on my male colleagues. However my tolerance for aquatics depends on the season. Please note that this fragrance is not to be worn during Winter.

A few quick spritzes of Light Blue Living Stromboli and you're all set for a day of fun in the sun. It smells crisp, invigorating and refreshing. It also blends really well with the scent of a man's sweat, so I wouldn't shy from wearing this to the gym.

The composition itself is fairly simplistic, but that doesn't bother me in the slightest. I tend to smell a lot of grapefruit and bitter orange in the opening, with a hint of salty sea water. The pink pepper provides the masculinity, while the vetiver in the heart and drydown makes the scent even saltier.

I'm quite surprised by the longevity, which held for a good six hours or more. Usually fresh scents like Light Blue Living Stromboli struggle to last. As I mentioned previously, it's a great choice for Summer. I recommend.

Brief Citrus Flash
For my last vacation, I wanted to take a new fresh scent with me and bought Light Blue by D&G untested.

Upon spraying, a concentrated burst of citrus freshness hits you. Unfortunately, after about an hour, the olfactory pleasure is over. The heart note is vaguely present, but I can't detect a base note. It may be due to the summer temperatures.

As a quick freshness splash throughout the day, I still found Light Blue extremely pleasant. Therefore, I will continue to use the scent this summer as such.

We humans have the habit of avoiding uncomfortable truths until we are confronted with them head-on
It’s summer...

...so the upgraded version of a summer fragrance is definitely going to sell twice as well... so to speak, twice as well squared, as the basic version, if you just scribble Living Stromboli on the bottle and then additionally release the whole upgrade as a limited edition. A simple trick; with this designation "limited edition," an added value is automatically created, which logically has no impact on the scent itself.

The starting conditions were therefore quite good: Limited Edition, collector's effect for the now collectors of the Light Blue series, and the name of the island Stromboli really puts you on the threshold of your next trip to Italy. This volcanic region also brings about an emotional ambivalence that holds something impulsive, dangerous, and perhaps mysterious, and just like that, the unsuspecting fragrance buyer is enchanted before they have even consulted their sense of smell.

This sense of smell should then report that the whole thing is a 0815 concoction and just bend what was just suggested to its sense colleagues and tell them that it is the boss when it comes to evaluating the fragrance.
It will tell them that the stuff smells just as banal as the basic version but has its justification in the absolute midsummer when it really is 35 degrees. For this time, such an aquatic scent is really great because it cools and refreshes, and often one or another note is simply too much. But not at this price. During this time, the sense of smell says that a Male Mistral, which costs about a quarter of the D&G Stromboli, does exactly the same job in its eyes. The longevity of both is not impressive, but at least it is the same. The longevity of this little fragrance cannot really be taken seriously. Only under high temperatures can it, if you close both eyes, still be placed somewhere in the bad average. 4- so to speak.
It is nothing more and nothing less than a fresh scent at drugstore level. You can wear something like this if you feel like it and are just lounging on the beach or spending a holiday day with all sorts of "casual" activities, but the price is simply way too high, and if you didn’t know the brand, no one would suspect a designer behind it.

What I want to say with all this stuff here:

A perfume has become a physically sensual process.
All the senses of a person are addressed, and I don’t just mean taste, etc. It’s about the cognitive reception of the product. The scent has become a medium that only partially addresses the nose.
Medium is execution. In other words, I am no longer the person I was just before. It’s simply about phenomenology, not even about semiotics. The eye checks Stromboli, and already my thoughts are in the car, heading over the Brenner towards the coast. This inscription Stromboli puts one in a holiday mood. It’s about the aura of factuality that is created here, which deceives people when it comes to a fragrance, regarding the judgment of the sense of smell.

This is of course well known to us professional perfume noses, but the fact that the sense of smell has occasionally become the last criterion in fragrance development is something that one is repeatedly confronted with.

It smells light the original light blue with added geranium and a bit vetiver. Longevity is on par with the OG, pretty good on my skin

For me, the nicer LB, perfect for us girls too. Lightly tangy, great for really hot weather.

I can't smell the top note at all, the heart note is synthetic and aquatic (reminds me of CK Contradiction). A heat fragrance.
