Easy to Wear Easy to Love

It's a nice scent. The citrus-wood blend is billed as being refreshing and sophisticated. This fragrance is elegant, fresh and light. I really enjoy it. It opens up with like fresh fruity then dry down is woody. This perfume is good for the spring and summer. I like Boss Bottled Tonic by Hugo Boss. In my opinion, It is the best of Boss Bottled in Line. Highly Recommended.

What happened to the scent?

A few days ago I received a sample of Boss Bottled Tonic with my order. I have the original Boss Bottled, of which I am not a big fan either, but Boss Bottled Tonic seems to become "unscented" on my skin. I already have a few summer scents in my collection that are quite weak on the chest, but I have never experienced one as extremely negative as this one! Opening is easily noticeable some lemon, but that doesn't last 5 minutes. And then nothing more! As a diabetic I always have a few disinfectant swabs at home, these are much more intensive in scent than this Boss Bottled Tonic!

Actually, it was on my wish list for quite some time, as it sounded very appealing to me from the scents. In addition, it is currently also offered everywhere quite cheap. But something held me back all the time from a blind purchase. Fortunately I can only say now! There you can see once again that even a well-known brand does not have to be a guarantee for a good scent! So Hugo that was then nothing at all... set, six :-(

Boss Bottled Tonic - True to the original only in fresh

Boss Bottled - a legendary fragrance DNA that you smelled on many adults as a child/teenager. And then you're one yourself. What I was looking for was this style, but in a fresh, "modern" form - for summer.

The various flankers often go in different directions, emphasize different aspects or add completely new fragrance notes.

Here with the tonic, they've done exactly what I was looking for: a fresh bottled for 25 degrees plus that strongly retains the basic DNA, but modernizes it and makes it lighter.

This is Boss Bottled, if you'd put it through the cold water once. A beautifully sparkling opening with a mixture of lemon and the characteristic apple. After that, the spices slowly come in as well as light woody notes. The whole thing retains its fresh shower gel character throughout, slightly mixed with a little Boss DNA. For me, the result is an extremely pleasant, summery shower gel freshness with a bottled twist. Definitely different enough from the original to be its own release.

Tonic is really appropriately chosen here.

Longevity and silage are - as you would expect with this fragrance profile - not particularly good. But I have also experienced worse.

What's nice is that, compared to many other designers of this type, it doesn't smell cheap and synthetic, but simply fresh and unobtrusive. An all-purpose weapon for the summer months if you still want to stick with this house.

One gin and tonic with apple please!

This fragrance is one of my favorites and I have often reordered it. It's perfect for everyday life in the office and you can spray it on every now and then... you even have to! The durability is subterranean - hence my appeal to Hugo Boss: PLEASE MAKE IT STRONGER.

It starts with a fresh, watery apple and quickly changes to aquatic, Mediterranean, gin-like (probably also the slight alcohol note) and vetiver. I love it! But unfortunately too weak...

A touch of nothing - I like it!

My collection now contains a lot of fragrances from the Bottled line. Some are redundant, some are absolute hits. Tonic is one of the former. So why am I not disappointed!!!

Well, as with many things in life, moods are often a question of expectations. And of course, the type of fragrance you like and/or need also plays a role. I added Tonic to my collection for a very specific reason: I needed something light for a summer vacation. Nothing that would fill up rooms, nothing that wouldn't come off my skin. And above all, it had to be light. Anyone looking for something like this should be able to put this tonic away as a blind buy, because it's definitely suitable for that!

It starts with light citrus and OG DNA. The apple is not as sweet here, so it tends to blend in with the fresh, citrusy start. Admittedly, the opening is a little alcoholic for a short time, but this quickly subsides The citrus doesn't last long. From the drydown, which begins after 20 minutes, it is only subtly retained by the ginger. Tonic then becomes a slightly woody, floral Boss fragrance that smells exactly as I imagined it would. Realistically 4-6 hours, but with good body lotion and a bit of ISO E super-layering I've gotten 8 out of it.

No matter how long it lasts: it's never loud, it's close to the skin. And that's what I needed. But I can also understand anyone who says that's not enough. As I said, it's all a question of why you bought it and the expectations that go with it..
