Quest for Blue - Iced meets Aquatic.

Hugo Hugo Iced was an interesting case. Super mono - pure mint, but great execution. But ultimately too monotonous for me to be more than a mini refreshment.

Here you take the concept and give it an aquatic touch in the opening. Cardamom at the beginning with citric notes for the spice and at the same time light fruitiness. Above all, the fragrance is slightly aquatic - I also smell a good portion of ambroxan here. Then the mint with the woody base in the drydown.

The whole thing has more of a shower gel than aquatic character towards the end, but it is well executed and smells super pleasant and pleasing. You won't be offended here - nor will you stand out.

Longevity and silage, it is a little weak on the chest.

Solid representative of the series - overall, I see it close to Acqua Essenziale Blu Eau de Toilette

This summer fragrance can easily keep up with "D&G light blue intense"

This fragrance does not need to hide!

This morning I sprayed a spritz each of "Hugo Boss now "and "dolce & gabbana light blue intense" on my wrists.

In the first 3 hours, "Hugo Boss now" was very noticeable. In particular, the fresh, aquatic and citrus notes came out. I personally like the fragrance very well. He works extremely refreshing and is therefore in my opinion very well suited as a summer , office or sports fragrance. I can also imagine getting a lot of compliments on this fragrance and it being "easy to like". At this point I found the fragrance even better than "light blue intense".

Although the longevity of the fragrance is really outstanding for an aquatic perfume, it unfortunately develops a bit with time (from hour 3). He smells after some time less citrusy and minty, but more synthetic. The scent is still not bad, just unfortunately not as good as in the first hours. "D&G light blue intense" develops, however, not so strong and smells after 7 hours still very fresh and good.
From hour 7, "D&G light blue intense" unfortunately slowly wore off, while I could still perceive "Hugo Boss now" until about 9 hours after spraying on.

In summary, "Hugo Boss now" is in my opinion a super fragrance. It lasts a long time and smells very good, especially at the beginning. He can at least in the first hours and from hour 9 with other summer fragrances such as "D&G light blue intense" easily keep up!

Actually it can't be, because this little bottle landed on my desk about three weeks ago.
Such a disillusionment for such a well chosen name, was not for a long time. For Coty and the currently many good products like the Cool water Intense, the Joop wow for men intense or the Boss bottled oud, the products had quite an upward trend. Unfortunately this juggler spoils the spring mood, as you can expect more, as it only comes with mint and a little bit of Vetyver. For fragrances that have rather few ingredients, this Now is now completely off. You'd accept a cologne like that, a normal eau de toilette almost borders on unfair competition here. Baldessarini's Mäurer&Wirtz products have an even longer shelf life or the unspeakable diesel is even more noticeable.
A pity and unfortunately absolutely not to be recommended for a fragrance that one wants to perceive for a few hours at least. After such a short time nothing to recognize is the wrong way for the younger Boss or Hugo fragrances, which is very unfortunate
