Unequilibrated
Afterword: ..........Maybe it just doesn't match my skin chemistry? Has the manufacturing process been modified or has this one always been different? The other Scent's and Bosses were never convincing on my skin either....
Please consider this, but: a review is a review. Well, to the point!
A touch of disappointment, or rather a touch of nothing? The sample blurb tells a fairy tale a la "spicy interpretation of the oriental original", "stimulating ginger", "sensual suede accord". Granted, spiciness is there, and the accord is pleasant. But everything in turn!
I spray on, and smell diffuse, unrecognizable, fruity sweetness. The aroma of maninka fruit, according to some sources, is like strawberry and chocolate, while others claim passion fruit and rum. My skin doesn't reflect any of that! Unrecognizable fruit, certainly not a stone fruit, not one of our native berries, really nothing recognizable......and a sharp spiciness to boot. No, the ginger is not too recognizable either, the note tree could almost state chili instead. The top notes, nonsense, the scent itself doesn't last long anyway, close to the body after not even an hour. Thankfully, at times a dusty, almost scratchy acidity came on. While shy, the drydown is pleasant, reminds me of Valentino Uomo! Thanks at this point to Yatagan, the tip to test more on paper shows a noticeably more pleasant opening here! A little more sharpness alongside a nice citrus bouquet. Still feels semi-finished, like a counterpoint was forgotten. Fortunately, this one is so weak on the chest that it is of little consequence.
In short: (With me?!) Indecisive water with little puff.
How do you see that? Is it the skin chemistry? Unimaginativeness of the industry?
Multiple negative tests I am at least ;D
