Simple pleasure
Jo Malone makes some fine fragrances and this particular perfume is one of their best. The scent is simple—I can smell mostly Lily of the valley. The longevity is outstanding, which is surprising for this house, as they aren’t known for that. You can sleep in this one easily. It lasts and lasts all day long.

I think it’s perfect for daily wear, but also perfect for a bride to wear on her wedding day. If it would’ve been around twenty years ago I would have worn it to my own wedding.

Bright Glow in the Underbrush
Shady twilight, a hint of moisture and earth: there you find countless ivy and large fields of lily of the valley.
Maybe even fairies? I'm not quite sure - but it could be possible!

This beautiful fragrance from the limited edition 2015 "Rock the Ages" was my first encounter with Jo Malone.
After reading about it in a magazine, I had to get to know it and later absolutely had to own it.

The widespread misconception that the scent of lily of the valley is very sweet and somewhat sticky is immediately disproven by "Lily of the Valley & Ivy" from Jo Malone.
The bitter, slightly earthy scent of this little white flower delights the senses right from the first spray.
And the ivy makes its presence known clearly and distinctly - and a bit scratchy-bitter - just a moment later.
It is accompanied by the rather bitter blackcurrants and the bright glow of daffodils.
It is these daffodils, which seem to dance through the previous fragrance creation, that save it from becoming too bitter and dark: they bring lightness and a touch of sweetness to this unique fragrance blend.

Thus, "Lily of the Valley & Ivy" often gives me the feeling of standing in front of a painting by Claude Monet: a light-filled forest, trees entwined with ivy, underbrush, and many little white dots - lily of the valley.
Above it all lies a luminous shimmer - the charm of Impressionism.
Those who know me are aware of how much I love Claude Monet's paintings.

And that is why I also love Jo Malone's "Lily of the Valley & Ivy."
Even though the fragrance embodies only a summery lightness and often needs to be refreshed, it is still a companion that brings joy.
The angular, clear glass bottle fits wonderfully in a handbag with its simplicity: so cool freshness is always possible!
Only in one aspect does "Lily of the Valley & Ivy" disappoint me: unlike other Jo Malone fragrances, it is not suitable as a "Hair Mist."
For this fragrance, my hair is certainly not a suitable carrier.

On gray and damp November days, which still bring us closer to the shortest day, I look at this bottle and realize how great my longing for light, spring, and sun is.
"Hello, Lily - I can hardly wait to see you again!"

Hello Spring!
Since I am currently in a complete lily of the valley frenzy, I ordered it blind and it was absolutely worth it. Lily of the Valley & Ivy is a beautiful floral scent.
The opening is very green.....the base then becomes softer and creamier.
A successful clean scent without a sharp musk (hairspray) note.

I really like the younger JMs, and here too the combination of lily of the valley and green-spicy notes is very successful.

Lovely lily of the valley scent with a slightly herbaceous green edge from ivy and daffodil. It has a fresh & untouched vibe.

Smells like a high-quality cream in the base.
Initially green, but then it becomes soft and close to the skin. It leaves a pleasant clean feeling.

The opening is lightly spicy, quickly developing into floral-powdery. I don’t find it fresh at all, but rather creamy and well-groomed.

Sweet lily of the valley and tart, almost bitter ivy bring energy to the day. Black currant and daffodil color = a fragrance friend!

First Jo Malone that I find okay. Very shower gel-like lily of the valley, but doesn’t cause nausea. Fresh & green, bubbly. Spa feeling.

A very creamy scent in my nose.
Like Nivea cream. It’s also floral-powdery. Different than expected, but not bad :)

After a nice mild green start somewhere between Nivea and Penaten. I expected more.

Way too little green, floral, and fresh - instead, it's oddly powdery. Doesn't show up in the pyramid, but reminds me of Sambac Marigold...
