Sensual and sophisticated patchouli
A very wearable patchouli that takes you on a chypre and dusty exotic journey which dries down to a gorgeous warm woody amber. I'm particularly fond of the smooth and suede like dry down that lasts a long time. The scent itself is quite oily and doesn't travel too far in silage, but it stays close to the skin for about 8 hours +. It's an intimate patchouli that won't offend anyone.

Rather shallow and flatly composed Amber
Jo Malone and I don't seem to get along very well. The second one, after the unpleasantly sweet "Myrrh & Tonka," doesn't particularly appeal to me or stand out.

Of course, one can focus on amber and patchouli as a theme. But this fragrance feels terribly limp and tired. Toothless in its projection, extremely flat due to its very watered-down harmony.

It is creamy, starting off with a slightly unpleasant sourness, but otherwise "Amber & Patchouli" plods along incredibly meekly and aromatically uninspired.

Slightly sweet, somewhat caramel-like, powdery, even vanilla-like - I can only recognize the namesake patchouli as redundant. There could have been significantly more charisma here. A bit more earthiness, smoke, more spice.

So it remains a harmless, very flat, certainly nice, but at the same time extremely bland amber fragrance.

Here speaks your captain
Last summer at Frankfurt Airport, I discovered a Jo Malone store at the gate. This perfume was a test candidate for me, and here it was possible. Sprayed on, bottled, paid for, and flown to Cyprus. Throughout the entire flight, I enjoyed this scent and was pleased that I had a large bottle of it in my luggage.
I smell a rich amber, combined with rugged guaiac wood and a patchouli that comes across without any mustiness. A slightly leathery character is noticeable, and overall, this Malone is more of a men's affair. There is nothing sweet or lovely here; everything is quite unadulterated. An admirable perfume.

Sammy :-)

Soft, transparent amber patch combo. Nothing sticks or clings like usual. Warm but light. Simply wonderful.

Two strong fragrance notes combined subtly into an office-friendly scent. Perfect for chilly spring days.

First guaiac wood & patchouli note, then amber. Everything bright, transparent, softly warming and refreshing at the same time. A casual companion for everyday life.

Patchouli, the true gentleman, lets Amber take the lead
elegantly gliding over the wooden floor
and then they're gone.

Beautiful amber-resinous patchouli scent, a bit earthy + possibly a hint of cumin. Nothing more or less than the ingredients promise.

A distinctive scent that leans more towards the masculine side. Amber and patchouli fans should definitely give this Jo Malone a try.

Fragrance twin of Kilian S.t.H.? No. Jo has soul, it’s calm, soft, not as "hollow" as S.t.H. And Jo is worth the money too.

Unfortunately, Jo Malone scents don't last on me. Nice opening, but after 30 minutes, sadly nothing left. I expect more from Amber Patch scents.

Bright amber, plays with a bit of delicate patch, then becomes powdery and a bit masculine, wave wave, it hops away from the playground.
