Winter perfume to bite into

I researched the fragrance beforehand and therefore did not buy it with the expectation of smelling a lot of chocolate. My hope was that it would actually smell a bit like Angels Share, as I love that perfume, but it’s just too expensive for me...
So, I ordered chocolate oud blind on Black Friday; so far, all my blind buys have been a waste.
However, I loved this scent immediately upon the first sniff. It is of course not as refined and complex as Angels Share, but it smells wonderfully of winter and Christmas time to me. Although it has relatively many notes, it remains quite linear to my nose. This does not bother me at all in this case, as I find the combination of apple, rum, and cinnamon wonderful.
The projection could be better for a gourmand scent; I need quite a few sprays for my surroundings to perceive it. At the same time, it remains pleasantly unobtrusive despite its sweetness.

For anyone who loves Angels Share, it is definitely a safe purchase!

Sweet-toothed people don't automatically like cinnamon gum

Does anyone even like cinnamon gum, can you still buy it?

When Kayali started the promotion for "Chocolate Oud" on Instagram, I thought dreams were coming true: as a Kayali and chocolate fan, I was sure that soon the next addictive fragrance would be on my shelf. They showed pralines, chocolate fountains, mousse au chocolat...
And what do I get?
When I shake my hair and am lucky: cinnamon baked apple with incense and oud. If I'm unlucky: cinnamon gum.

Where is my chocolate party? My chocolate ecstasy??

On the skin, the fragrance is always a bit different; it starts with a fruity apple that becomes more of a cinnamon baked apple than a candied one. A hint of rum, also somehow fruity. Cinnamon is omnipresent and from start to finish, the most dominant note, combined with the specified woods it leans towards licorice. After 5 minutes, some incense joins in; it remains fruity, but at that point it shifts a bit towards synthetic and thus to this cinnamon gum. With great effort, I can imagine a small dry cocoa hint after 15 minutes.

The fragrance is not generally bad, but it simply does not meet the expectations that come with the name and marketing. It would have been better as "Oudgasm - Cinnamon Gum Oud". I really hope Mona tries the chocolate route again with more success.
