Lovefest Burning Cherry | 48 Kayali 2022 Eau de Parfum

Many voted that this is similar to Lost Cherry, and I think the cherry note really has the same natural juiciness to it. This is not a sickly cough drop cherry or one that smells like almonds and marzipan, it's really fruity.
The rest of the scent is quite different to me though. Lovefest has a drier, smokier texture, it's not as balsamic and warm as LC. If you're looking for a true dupe, better look elsewhere.

Besides the cherry I also smell a sweet, crunchily caramelized praliné, and a touch of raspberry that rounds out the fruitiness. The base is quite woodsy and seems dry at first, but it also has an undertone of creaminess. I can't identify specific kinds of woods here though. This part of the fragrance has some similarities to Elixir 11 and especially Invite Only Amber. This could be Invite Only's younger, flirtier sister: same roots, more cherry, less spice.
A cloud of soft smoke hovers over the other notes at all times and makes the scent stand out from other cherries.

Compared to most of the Kayali line I find this relatively light and close to the skin. I like the concept of blending sweet, girly, "pink" notes with smooky woods, it really draws me in at times. But in the end I wish the notes were a little more defined and would pop a little more. I love many Kayali perfumes, this one is more of a like to me.

One of the few kayali scents I actually enjoy. Very nice counterpoint to boozy cloying borderling syrupy cherry scents out there. the palo santo/smokiness is such a nice touch and goes a long way towards making this smell more grown. can be layered if you want more booziness, works pretty harmoniously with other scents, plays well.

To me, this fragrance, has less in common with Lost Cherry TF (have both and compare them often) and more in common with TF Cherry Smoke. In the first minutes the difference is not so obvious, but lately you feel woody notes. Lost cherry is sour and sweatier , it has less wood and Burning Lovefest, on the other hand, is softer, woodier and more muted.

The fragrance depends on the weather , when it is cold you can feel more wood and when you get indoors there is a bottle-like cherry. I like this combination! :)

If you look at this scent through the lens of what a fall/winter scent ought to be, it falls exceedingly short of expectations. This is why it sat in my shelf untouched for about two years.

But it is now summer and I recently sniffed this on a bus, and it was shockingly pretty and fitting. I am seeing it in a whole new light and realizing this works better in summer. It's crazy this didn't register before. Duh, it's cherry season, and this smells like a campfire. It all points to a sweet, fruity summer camping trip, your clothes smelling of campfire smoke and stained pink with cherry juice.

As a fall/winter scent, it lacks depth and will disappoint. See it instead as a fruity summer perfume. It may surprise you.

When I first smelled this in store, the first thing I thought was "wow.... this does smell like a burning cherry" lol.

I personally don't notice any sweetness to the scent and can only smell a deep cherry and some muskiness/smokiness. I'm not complaining though, because I like it!

One bigger complaint that I have is that it doesn't last long at all. I'd say I stop smelling it on myself at the one hour mark, maybe two hours max.
