Powdery and waxy lipstick paired with a rose

When I heard about this fragrance coming out, I didn't rush to get it. First, because it was touted as rose-forward fragrance (which I'm not really a fan of) and also because the influencers I follow had a lukewarm response to it. Since the Sephora Spring Sale is coming up, I took a moment to head to a store and sniff a few perfumes that I might be ordering. This one was out so I decided to try it out anyways.

Damn, am I glad I did not go for a blind travel size (or a full bottle, but I've never done that so...). This is soo far from my kind of fragrances and vibe. Might be one of the rare Kayali that I can say I dislike instead of being indifferent towards it. The beginning was very promising: a juicy, sweet array of fruits; smelled really great! I got the pear and the peach the most out of the four fruits at the top. Unfortunately, it didn't last long. It morphs almost immediately into a strong powdery and waxy lipstick fragrance with a rose flavor to it. It's a little bit vintage, but at the same time, modern on one side. The plasticky, lipstick accord is a very strong deterrent to me. It smells thick and overpowering. As it dries down, I could sense the vanilla trying to peak through and a hint of vetiver earthiness and spiciness, but the lipstick accord remains the queen here.

If you love lipstick fragrances and roses, you might find something great here. It's so far from the usual gourmand fragrances Kayali makes that I was really surprised at it (but not in a good way). I suggest you sample it and avoid going for a blind-buy. It's not a safe fragrance (far from it).

Pink candies in the transparent plastic bag

I have a love-hate relationship with this scent. Sometimes it's really unpleasant and other times I'm holding my nose to my wrist and wondering what's so appealing about this scent. What's certain is that the syntheticness bothers me. Actually, none of the notes smell realistic. At the same time, each note is made in a unique way and even though there should be a huge number of scents like this, I can't compare this one directly to anything.

In simple terms, the scent reminds me of a fruity floral. However, I can't name the fruit, just like I can't name the flower. Sometimes the rose floats in the air somehow, but sometimes there is no hint of it at all. When I close my eyes, I see a bunch of pink hard candies and they are in a transparent plastic bag. When I open the bag, this scent floods out of the bag. The color of the bottle really says a lot about this fragrance. The scent is youthful and playful, but it is still suitable for an adult too. It's 100% feminine and girly.

Ambrox makes the scent strong and it projects well, and the best thing about this scent is when it's lingering after and around the wearer. That's when it feels charming, unlike when it's smelled right up close to the skin. The syntheticness is present all the time, but whether it bothers you or not varies. The scent has the synthetic sugary sweetness typical of Kayal's latest scents, and for example, Vanilla doesn't smell the same as in Vanilla | 28 Eau de Parfum or in Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli | 64 .

Even though I'm not the target audience for this scent at all, I understand those who like it. Everyone knows how much I love rose scents and I had a bit of an obsession to add this to my collection at first, but after months of thinking about it, I admitted to myself that no, this is not really a rose scent, at least not for me.

Fleur Majesty

A beautiful fruity, sweet, powdery rose. Similar-ish vibes to Delina, but more pear and peach than rhubarb and lychee. Projects beautifully and lasts well. I feel like Kayali have really stepped up their game with these last few releases, and this one didn’t really get the hype it deserves. Very pretty, lasts and projects well.

Nice for a rose scent

Not a favorite from kayali but it is pretty. Just not something i would wear really.
At first it was a fruity sweet, not super sweet like others are making it out to be but enough for you to think “oh it’s a little sweet”.
Then the rose came through a lot & it is more of a powdery rose and it does have an aquatic feel to it hours later in the background of that powdery rose. But the fruity sweetness is still there but at this point it is super faint.

Fruity, powdery rose

A beautiful sweet, fruity, powdery rose fragrance.
Honestly reminds me of smelling both Initio Atomic Rose and PDM Delina Exclusif - and this fragrance would be their love child.
It reminds me of Delina’s sweet, powdery rose with the fruity blend of bergamot, pear and litchi.
Where this fragrance has the same sweet pear but blended with a juicy peach and light citruses of orange and mandarin instead.
It also reminds me of that jammy rose dry down that Atomic Rose has, although not the same with that initial dark rose opening.
Fleur Majesty just seems to maintain that light airy, fruity sweet and powdery rose scent which is just beautiful. But also comes across slightly synthetic smelling when worn in the warmer weather. In the colder days the juicy sweetness of the fruits and rose pop more nicely. I only wish it would last longer, like all the Kayali fragrances in our collection they don’t seem to have great longevity. Lasts around 4hours sometimes a bit longer but it would be a very intimate, close to skin scent. Which is fine if you’re happy reapplying every couple of hours if you want a larger projection to remain.
