Very good alternative to Baccarat rouge

The fragrance is really a very good and cheap alternative to the Baccarat Rouge from MFK.Fpr just under 7,45€ you get a very sweet saffron note here.Duese alternative I like better than the Belle Icone for the simple reason that in my opinion this one represents the fragrance better with all the sweet notes I find the belle icone in contrast a bit fresher than the elegant Woman and also than the Baccarat rouge.However, the durability is not the best, I would therefore buy such small 5ml atomizers and fill the fragrance in there for on the go if it wears off then just spray again.

Summer cousin

BR 540 divides opinion. Some acclaim the fragrance, others demonize it. There is no black or white. But then there's the group like me, who have their difficulties with the original fragrance but don't actually think it's that bad. It's a kind of in-between. For them, the cheaper cousins of the fragrance sprout up like mushrooms. A close relative is Belle Icône, where I like the strawberry scent. So it's a spring cousin.

Elegant Women is the summer cousin, because I smell citrusy notes at the beginning and a little fir resin. Like walking through a pine forest in the summer heat. The beginning doesn't smell like hairspray either, which is typical for La Rive. Otherwise very close to BR 540, but still a little different. Not bad, but I like the relative with the strawberry scent better. But that's a matter of taste.

Lasts 5-6 hours and can be sniffed close to the skin later. Now in the cold season (it has snowed here in the Bergisches Land) I find the fragrance suitable.

The bottle is simple and elegant, albeit angular and not suitable for a handbag. But you can fill it up.

This week the La Rive fragrances at RM for 4.99 euros. An absolutely good fragrance for the price. But you should get away from the idea that it's a copy or something of BR540. Rather see it as a nice cousin, where you notice the relationship...ehm smells
