The name lives up to its promise!
Tropiques was once again an absolute blind buy. Since I already have several perfumes from Lancôme, I thought I couldn't go wrong. The name and the bottle immediately reminded me of a Caribbean vacation, of a sultry beauty with long black hair, with a sweet-smelling flower in her hair, or of the delicious tropical, exotic fruits that I can't get enough of on vacation.
And that's exactly how this fragrance is. It brings a touch of the Caribbean back to me.
It starts fruity sweet, and fortunately, neither is overwhelming, but in the right balance, and it finishes with a slightly creamy note. The fragrance doesn't undergo significant changes, but I find that perfectly fine. The sillage is well-defined but pleasant. I like it when I can still perceive the scent for a long time. The longevity is noticeably longer in high temperatures, lasting about 6 hours for me, while in cooler temperatures, I don't smell much after 3 hours.
So it fits the name as well. A fruity, sweet summer perfume, perfect for the evening hours. I have no regrets about the purchase and enjoy wearing it from time to time.
