Oh...wait...wow...what ??? Damn !!!!
I received the sample kit yesterday, first i tried intense cedrat boise (can someone tell me how to link a perfume in comment please) and felt in love immediatelly after the drydown. Then all the basics (intense red tobacco/french riviera/instant crush, etc.) and finally black line.

After letting the juice drying down i smelled heaven, litteraly. I didn't know the ingredients but i smelled a shy red rose, not pink, red,a twiest of salt and pepper with lighy wood base, very discret but so elegant and poetic. It's in the legacy of black oud by montale, but more harmonious and way better constructed.

Guys, if you want a rose fragrance very manly i would recommend black line, its good, its captivating, the only thing is the longevity which i found not so long (4hr on my skin)

i wish they would make an intense version of this one

Wow so underrated
Mancera darker fragrances nobody really talks about , and from what i experienced their dark fragrances are better than the fresher or sweeter style
Of their fragrances. I’m blown away! From black line , along with black prestigum, and even black to black . Black line has this undertone of a slight sweetness to go with this dark leathery slightly animalistic feel . It’s just beautiful to me. To my nose you can’t pick out one note, like it’s not obvious it’s a rosé fragrance or whatever it may be . You have to really dig your nose into it and pick out what your smell. This scent is very harmoniums to me

Dark...darker....darkest... Rose-wood...
...I ever smelled... Hidden in the depths was the "darkest" rose scent I have (so far) encountered.
Until a souk offer appeared, cautiously inquiring about the scent, asking if it was too sweet. Explicit denial. Response: "not sweet... dark... woody---"
I agreed to a purchase, with information from THIS PAGE I was very confident, along with the info from A., who was selling the scent, even sure, because A. had just smelled the fragrance herself and her judgment is reliable....
But even better than expected, the "Black Line" struck during the test.....
A wave of spices...from cardamom to pepper, from clove to coriander and who knows what else, briefly conceals the true nature of the fragrance from overly hasty and impatient noses that want to get straight to the point-.
And already can't wait for the top note to love a scent or immediately condemn it. (These "candidates" usually don't get to know the fragrance as a whole)
With this Mancera, it takes a few minutes of patience before dark red, rose ink
emerges and delights the nose.
Alongside are equally "inky" ingredients like patchouli and birch tar, "opaque" cistus and smoky elements.
Everything seems to creep in from deep, covered, and moonless night, overwhelming, touching, and shrouded in silence.
Only thoughts seem to flow over, silent, fascinating images from imaginative artistic hands.
Images of bizarre landscapes, gnarled trunks of ancient trees shaped as if wind-swept.
Dark and rich the colors, with a few, yet all the more striking red flowers as contrast.
The dark guaiac woods creak in thought, although no sound can be heard.
It is as if the buds of the purple roses opened with a quiet "pfffssst"...
to bloom and remain forever so, without wilting.
I have now entered this "landscape," and do not want to leave here anymore.
For perhaps the journey is still exciting until the true end of "Black Line"
I want to witness that until the possible dawn...

Beautiful Dark Rose
Let's continue with one of my favorite brands: Mancera. Here with Black Line, one of three from the Line collection. Besides this one, there is also the Lemon Line and the Aoud Line. I also like the former, it smells like a luxurious citrus refreshing towel, while I am not familiar with the rather unknown Aoud Line. This Black Line is already my 18th fragrance from this brand, and it never fails to impress me. This broad and often pleasing yet unique range may only receive moderate attention here, but in "real" life, these perform really, really well. Guaranteed. The price category between designer and niche is absolutely fair, and you get a lot for your money, including top performances.
The Black Line doesn't get much attention here: 129 reviews and rather few statements. It seems not to appeal to the masses, probably because it is not hyped and the rose theme is very present in the fragrance world. In my opinion, you get a better option here if you are looking for that dark and oriental type of rose.

Packaging is typical for Mancera. Simple cardboard, Mancera pouch, and uniform bottle. The striped look is quite cool, which all the Line collection has. Additionally, the new releases or newer batches have a magnetic cap, which I prefer. The screw cap was really uncool.
In terms of scent, you don't get the feeling that you haven't smelled this DNA before. It sounds negative at first, but it isn't. In my opinion, you get one of the best dark rose fragrances on the market. Moreover, the appeal is typical Mancera, and you don't get a scent that is too experimental or niche. Roughly, this fragrance leans very much towards Radical Rose Eau de Parfum, but here it is definitely darker and also significantly more masculine.
Rose takes the lead from the very beginning. A beautiful dark rose that also has a slight soapy vibe. Those who enjoy the direction of oriental rose might find this fragrance appealing. This rose is accompanied by a lot of dark patchouli, which, as always, harmonizes well with rose notes. Also here. Additionally, right from the opening, there is a wonderful blend of spices that has a slight oriental vibe. You can also find wood here, especially sandalwood. A warm amber note brings a touch of sensuality and warmth to this creation, completing this wonderful creation. Leather is not very prominent but is rather in the background. This should not deter leather haters. This slight leather note brings in rather noble nuances and fits this darker creation. The base is already warm-sweet-sensual with a lot of amber, creamy musk, and also sandalwood. Overall, it is a rather linear fragrance that does not show much evolution; the base is, of course, significantly softer, warmer, and more intimate. It's a great unisex fragrance that can be worn well in everyday life but also in the dark. In warmer months, this is more suitable for the evening/night.
Performance is really good, as expected from Mancera and also from this type of fragrance. The first few hours, it projects very well; after 3-4 hours, it becomes a bit softer. Longevity is easily 10+ hours. Overall, a perfect performance if you want to be noticed.

A fragrance that might have more success under another brand. The offer of oriental-tinged rose fragrances is high. Be that as it may, I can absolutely recommend this, and I will gladly wear it.

And again and again...
... late in the bar. The women and men have remembered the line from the Threepenny Opera "And you see them in the light. Those in the dark you do not see." They are the ones standing in the dark and do not want to be seen.

Upon application, spices hit the nose first, quickly joined by rose, leather, amber, and patchouli, making the scent dark and abyssal. Before it falls into infinity, sandalwood and musk come in to catch it and make it a little brighter again.

The longevity and sillage are very good.

A perfume suitable for both ladies and gentlemen. The scent can be worn well in the evening.

Those who like it dark will find it here, at a very good price-performance ratio.

Rose, rose, rose with everything that is dirty and animalistic. Unisex: unbearable for men, triggers a flight reflex in women. Imho.

Masculine, dark, spicy. Lots of leather, rose, and oud. Starts off a bit sharp, but then becomes pleasant and lasts impressively. I like it!

Very similar to "Aoud Night", the musty note also reminds me of "Noir de Noir". A wonderfully wearable Rose Cavalier. Soft, round, harmonious.
