Mancera has a really great range that is huge and has something for everyone. This brand is simply a pleasing niche and serves many themes. The quality is also a great balance between designer and niche and offers a fair price. Mancera is a good choice for anyone who likes to oscillate between niche and designer. I tested this Cosmic Pepper for the first time last year. It's not really mindblowing, as this DNA is already quite popular. This fragrance is very similar to
Allure Homme Sport Eau de Toilette or
Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême with this soft freshness. It's not a 1:1 dupe, but rather based on this style and anyone who likes this Chanel can test it well. Cosmic Pepper has many notes of its own that are interesting and pleasing. You get an evergreen here that simply presents a great freshness and contains a great sensual aura. Even if it is not rated outstanding here, this fragrance is worth trying if you are looking for a no-brainer in the direction of Allure Homme Sport.
Perhaps a little overpriced, you should wait or watch out for offers. 60ml cost around 100€, 120ml around 150€. It's not blatantly overpriced for what you get, but a few € less wouldn't be wrong.
The fragrance comes in the usual packaging. It's a simple cardboard box and the usual Mancera bag, just like Montale does. The bottle is high quality with great glass and a cool magnetic lid.
In terms of fragrance, the name is not so descriptive. A great peppery spiciness is present, but not in the leading role. You get a great fresh no-brainer a la Chanel. The start consists of a lot of citrus. Similar to Chanel, you get a great creamy, juicy mandarin with a large dash of lemon. There is also a lot of fresh sage, which provides an interesting freshness and harmonizes with this citrus. On top comes a great peppery spiciness which is quite pleasant. All in all a very harmonious combination. In the heart note a fresh rose is added which gives this fragrance an independent vibe. The fragrance becomes quite soft from hour 2 and has a very sensual but fresh aura. In the base, as in Chanel, there is a large portion of musk and also tonka bean for sweetness. A sensual, sweet and clean base that the masses will love. For many in the perfume community, it may be too insignificant, but Cosmic Pepper is a fragrance that will work in everyday life. I don't notice the oud note in the heart. This creation is very European with not so many rough edges. A no-brainer that is unisex but will appeal to men due to its similarity to Chanel. Nevertheless, this fragrance is not too masculine. There is a slight synthetic note, but it is limited and far from unpleasant.
Performance is quite good. Compared to its "role model", it lasts about 8-9 hours and has a solid sillage. The start is quite good, becomes a bit more skin-tight after 3-4 hours. But already a good performer when it comes to freshness. Can always be worn. Wearable all year round and for any occasion.
Overall, a great no-brainer with peppery-citrusy-fresh top notes, fresh rose and a great base of musk and tonka. All very round and pleasing. Recommendation goes out to all fans of the Allure Homme Sport range.
