The sweet shoeshiner has arrived.

After the first spray, I immediately associated it with freshly polished, waxy, resinous leather shoes. I can well imagine that this scent arises from the resinous oud combined with a vanilla undertone.

The bottle also makes sense in this context; it truly feels lightly velvety in the nose and is definitely a fragrance you won't smell on every corner!
An absolutely unique scent with good longevity and sillage in a really great bottle.

I actually see this fragrance in the transitional months, as it brings a slightly floral, fresh note despite the woodiness. After about an hour, it develops into a sweeter scent with a light undertone of cocoa.

This year, I put together an "Advent calendar" for myself filled with samples and decants of fragrances that I had neither known nor tested before, but whose Parfumo profile appealed to me.
I did not assign them to any specific day, but arranged them in a glass container with the idea of intuitively selecting a scent from it.
On Saturday evening, I had a theater visit planned, and since Opera had already impressed me and convinced me in terms of longevity and sillage, I decided to choose Duetto as my fragrant companion for the occasion.
One spray from the well-known and popular 10 ml plastic TZ should suffice, although I suspect that this dispenses far more fragrance than a perfume bottle with a single press.

Yes, the selection could certainly suit the occasion. A dense, opulent aura surrounded me, quite pleasant, but initially very dominated by Oud.
I had slight concerns about the relative closeness in the theater, but since we were already on our way and had a longer drive ahead of us, I wrapped myself in a scarf and coat.
In the car, my husband noticed that I was wearing a new fragrance, and fortunately, it did not strike him negatively. After all, we had had situations in the past where he offered to stop at the next rest area to air out.

The longer we drove through the night, the more beautiful Duetto transformed. A juicy rose emerged and increasingly displaced the medicinal Oud note. Clove, not too dominant, rounded off the restrained sweetness of the flowers with a slight spiciness alongside pepper. Everything was so beautiful, harmonious, and soothing that I eventually caught myself inhaling deeply the scent rising from my scarf with a blissful grin. In doing so, I searched my memory in vain for the reason behind the déjà-vu feeling that I believed I knew the fragrance at this advanced stage.

That the seats of the older couple next to me remained empty after the intermission, I would attribute more to the theme of the play "Soul Journey" than to Duetto, which proved to be subtly perceptible but not overly expansive.
Today, two days later, my scarf still smells delicately of rose and spice, and now I also recognize the similarity - to Rose Splendide by Goutal.

I have already tested many roses, but this is a sillage wow, that even my skin cannot handle, and that means something.
An incredibly sexy rose scent and as wonderfully and thoroughly described by Lysistrate, dark, spicy, and a little dirty. Still not cheap but noble and sophisticated.

All about a rose, oily and heavy, you almost feel like being bathed in a rose oil. But quite modern and pleasant if you dont overdo it.
