An orchestra

Oulala, how Americans think the French behave.
Where do I even begin with this one?
That question feels appropriate when you encounter the fruit salad of notes in Pasticcio by Sospiro, crafted by Christian Provenzano.
The very first thing that hits me is the blackcurrant bud (yes, I had to Google it to make sure). Rich, complex, suave, and most of all, truly, truly original.
Then come the fruits, the flowers, the woods: a true orchestra, just as the brand intended.
And not a single false note.
A straight 10/10 — and trust me, I don't hand those out lightly.

Creamy flowery scent

Although the names of Sospiro can be a bit daft, the scents and the compositions are usually quite beautiful, Pasticcio is that type of a scent. Here actually the name make sense - this is a creamy citrus/flowery scent on its opening which transports the person in Vienna during the time of Mozart or Beethoven. This scent evokes the images of class and nobility.

As the scent dries down the flowers fade, but do not disappear, and the woodiness from the cedar and sandalwood comes to dominate. If Vibrato from the brand is epitome of the playful young individual, Pasticcio reminds of a the stable, and more mature brother.

A wonderful composition

We are now in the overwhelming Baroque period.
The opera introduces the Pasticcio, a work that the composer created by combining pieces by other composers, with or without their permission.
A work that gave new life to pieces that had made their mark on the musical world.
Pasticcio is a marvellous symphony of notes that together become indistinguishable, thus creating a unique harmony: the opening is slightly citrusy, acidic, but then the composition takes on nuances that are on the one hand floral, on the other green, sugary... something fresh, cheerful and adapted to every occasion.
Truly a beautiful olfactory experience, which obviously, given the presence of so many notes, changes from skin to skin.
A wonderful set of colours like ‘Croacking Movement’ painted by Pollock.

Spring compressed in a bottle...

... An incredibly beautiful floral scent that flatters every man for spring.

The second floral fragrance that I can wear as a man.

I admit that I am relatively new to the perfume world (2020) and that the last sentence may be a bit polemical, but I usually struggle with floral scents.

There is a very fine line with floral scents that can quickly slip into the feminine direction. But not this fragrance. It brings a very slight masculine layer with it. Don't get me wrong, any woman can wear this scent as well.
I also haven't warmed up to the note of rose yet, but here it really doesn't bother me at all.

The scent starts for me like in a florist's shop. Very multi-layered floral, fresh (green), and brings a slight citrus note in the background. In the drydown, the fragrance becomes creamier, yet still remains lightly floral.
In the reviews, I hardly read about the floral notes, which I find very unfortunate.

Herb/sweet-fruity surprise

Now that the new Sospiro fragrances are finally listed here, I had the pleasure of testing Pasticcio, and I am very impressed.

The scent starts fruity/sweet and later transforms into a woody sweet delight for the nose. The somewhat scratchy elements that some mention, supposedly coming from sandalwood, I find particularly intriguing, as they give the fragrance some edges and character.

I can't detect all the ingredients; for example, I don't perceive orange blossom at all, which isn't a problem since it usually dominates fragrances and I only like it in very few perfumes, such as "Meringa | Profumum Roma."
Fortunately, I don't notice the typical sunscreen vibe ingredient Ylang Ylang, but I do detect a pleasantly understated rose and an interesting spiciness.

All in all, a quite interesting fragrance that always lifts my spirits when I wear it, and that's exactly what a fragrance should do.
The longevity is good, and the sillage is moderate.
I will now gradually test the other Sospiros; this one has piqued my curiosity and is the second fragrance from the house, after "Ensemble | Sospiro," that could also find a place in my collection.
