Solitaire French Avenue 2025

Incredibly likeable clean scent with both powdery accords and a spotless musk at the base. “Solitaire” by French Avenue is somewhere in the neighborhood of “Musk 12” by Kayali and “Bubble Bath” by Replica, without being a dupe or even a self-proclaimed dupe.

I don’t notice any patchouli at the base, but it might be present to add longevity. If I hugged someone and smelled this, my impression would be that both their clothes left the dryer and they left the shower less than 30 minutes of seeing me, freshly cleaned.

While there are floral notes, I wouldn’t call this a floral scent because it’s much more musk-forward than botanical by a mile.

Great for medical & professional, daytime wear and a sound puck for anytime of year.

THIS IS THE ONE. This is the first dupe that actually smells better than de OG. Few days ago I tested A Kiss of Bliss and I felt that sensation when you get your hands in something different, pretty, with its own personality. When you have smelled hundreds of perfumes there is a point when everything smells like other perfume you know...
Kiss of Bliss was so different. But I prefer not to spend thousands of euros in a perfume, so, I went for Solitaire.

Usually ME dupes ares ok, quite similar, nice, but they lack that something else that the originals have. I had never found a dupe that was better than the original, UNTIL NOW.

Solitaire is AMAZING. I would say Kiss of Bliss and this one are 90% similar. The opening is a little different, being KoB a little more matcha forward and Solitaire a little more powdery (reminds me of baby power or talc). At this point I prefer KoB, but this phase last less than an hour.

After a while Kiss of Bliss is spicier and Solitaire more floral.

And as time passes, Solitaire turns exactly into Kiss of Bliss, but with better projection and longevity.

I would say that Solitaire has a slightly cleaner vibe, which I find more appealing. It is a sweet and floral perfume, vey hard to describe, but warm, cozy and lovely.

Kiss of Bliss is so beauty, but Solitaire is just as beauty. For me, taking into account that I prefer clean floral perfumes over spicy or sweet perfumes, Solitaire is an enhanced version of Kiss of Bliss.

...actually analyzed the fragrance pyramid. I haven't done that in a long time, as I generally smell something different. So, why don't I like the scent: according to the fragrance pyramid, there's heliotrope in it. I love it in fragrances...where is it? Bergamot, it depends on the combination. I've come to appreciate tea notes to some extent. But for me...I'm sorry, it's a stale cup of flavored green tea with sweetener! Flat, insignificant. Maybe it's the wrong tea for me? I think, without ever having tested one, that Mrs. Arden's tea fragrances will have more pep. Maybe the moss ruins everything for me. An overly sweetened tea note, that's unfortunately my impression. The best part here is the bottle. Let's have a fennel tea first.

Damn you, Parfumtok. Unfortunately, I get excited too quickly and buy accordingly fast and blindly. And here we have the seemingly 288305th candidate of its kind.

But let's start with the fact that this bottle is beautiful. Solid, striking, and that flip-flop finish... looks great on my shelf.

Upon the first spray, I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting something different than what I got to smell. Not that it isn't beautiful, now I really find it lovely!

You can clearly smell the bergamot, it comes and stays. Alongside that, I have green tea in my nose. A delicate shy rose, powdery heliotrope, a bit of patchouli and jasmine, and then comes the creamy musk.
It smells fresh and floral to me, yet slightly powdery and also with a hint of Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum. I can't stop sniffing right now.

The longevity and sillage are strong.

I can hardly wait for the warmer days, this scent is perfect for that. And actually, fresh, citrusy scents are not really my thing... - actually.
