Amazing sillage and longevity, I'm impressed!
The scent opens with a green scent of freshly cut petitgrain with a sweet background. If you don't like the opening, be patient, because around 20 mins later, the main scent develops and it's less green, and more marshmallowy sweet. It's absolutely gorgeous and imo signature scent worthy. It also lasts crazy long: on skin the whole day, on clothes for a few days! Also it projects really far, only 2 sprays fill a room. That's what I'd call a good value for money. I personally use only 1 spray of this because it's that concentrated.

Inedible but WOW
People will say oooh I was chased down the street etc and mostly they are lying. Sintra is the ONLY perfume where I’ve been tracked down and asked what I was wearing, TWICE and in 2 different countries - Malta and Istanbul!

It opens with a lot of bitterness possibly from the Pettigrain + neroli. This is my least favourite part because I don’t really like green facets, but it gets sweeter as it dries down. Imagine green flowers powdered with fine sugar and marshmallows meets Kilian’s LDBS Extreme in the base. I wouldn’t class as gourmand, NO. Performance is 8+ hours on my skin and suitable all year, particularly for Spring because of the green facets. I don't think people should blind-buy this based on description alone because it is not gourmand and can be a bit bitter and herbal. But if you love a bitter neroli or orange blossom with some sweetness then go for it. Very similar (once it dries down) to Guimauve De Noel, Oriana, Love... but none of them hold a candle to Sintra in both performance or complexity. Sintra is of great quality but you need to know your taste and sample before buying. Top 10 for life and a 10/10 fragrance!

A dignified sweetness
I was fully prepared to dismiss Sintra—surely it would be too girly, too saccharine, too juvenile.

And while it does indeed exhibit some of those characteristics, it's also incredibly well executed.

Sintra is often compared to Kilian's Love Don't be Shy, but don't be fooled: Sintra is by far the superior fragrance. While I found LDBS unbalanced and gag-inducing, in Sintra the green accord cuts through the orange marshmallow sweetness, providing much needed edge and freshness.

A playful scent and a pleasant surprise.

Smelling like fragranced candel.. but could not be done better!
I remember that I tried Sintra first as a tester and was in aw with its warmness and width. Before you spray you can see in the tester it’s warm and dark-honey like colour and this is altogether how the fragrance is perceived. It has a very warum expressions which can be deemed a little artificial in the beginning but really unfolds after some minutes of wear. I gave Sintra to a friend to test and he told me it smelled like fragranced candels - at the beginning I was offended but he was right and I found that I can like it nevertheless.

Addictive
Sintra opens with a sharp punch of Petitgrain. I’m not a fan of the opening at all, and nearly wrote this off…. but wait! This mellows into the background and after around 5 minutes the scent really evolves into something beautiful! This is a gorgeous mix of neroli and orange blossom that becomes a fluffy, creamy, powdery marshmallow mix with hints of jasmine and other warm notes. This really is a gorgeous, comforting, uplifting and very long lasting scent. It creates an amazing scent bubble and could easily be worn all year round. It’s addictive!

Orange blossom petals dipped in caramel sauce. Cartoonesque candy shop sweetness. Toothache!

The opening is so sharp and unpleasant that the slightly more pleasant dry down does nothing for me. Turpentine and flowers and marshmallow.

Opening is harsh.
I’ve grown to really like it.
Dry down is sublime.

Orange blossom bomb with a sweet dry down. A photorealistic pastiera napoletana dusted in powder sugar, while staying feminine and perfume-y

There's something addictive about Sintra but also kind of unbalanced and sharp, it's hard to describe, such a polarizing & special creation!

It's suppose to be a sweet orange blossom scent like LDBS/Oriana, but that petitgrain adds a weird quirky feel on-skin. Good performance.

A better LDBS with more depth and interest. The opening may put some people off. Too much marshmallow for what I'm looking for right now.

Harsh opening. This smells like a less sweet LDBS. Not bad by any means, but I just expected more out of this scent tbh.

Sharp, green neroli. A bit sweet in the drydown but I don't smell marshmallow. I wouldn't consider it a gourmand. Sophisticated and unique.

Sour, sharp and headache inducing.
