A Brief Flash, Then Just a Glow
The statements report quite different impressions...
Therefore, here is my individual experience report after the first practical test a few days ago:
On me, “Aurora borealis” starts extremely fresh, almost eucalyptus-like and very expressive. I experienced something similar recently with “Hayat,” where the strong lavender note in the opening was also responsible. I also think I can smell a slightly bitter note of essential oil from citrus peels, more bergamot than orange. But then the fragrance quickly shifts down a gear and becomes noticeably softer and closer to the skin. More of a subtly fragrant herbal schnapps than an intensely spicy herbal liqueur, with only a moderate juniper note on me. A sweet base is recognizable, but I wouldn’t describe AB as “sweet” in the true sense. Fougere only at the beginning, later citrus-fresh, slightly spicy.
A nice fragrance for the transition from summer to autumn, but it becomes a bit too tame for me quite quickly.
I am not familiar with the mentioned fragrance twin “Sunshine man,” but the pyramid does indeed read almost identically.
