Great impression of Lira--sweet, fresh, versatile
Caramel Delight is the Dua inspired expression of Xerjoff Lira, capturing its lovely citrus/vanilla/lemon essence. It’s sweet, fresh, and midway between a light summer gourmand and a heavier winter gourmand, really filling that year-round-gourmand space, well-rounded by the additional of florals (lavender, jasmine) and spices (cinnamon, licorice), but the caramel/blood orange/vanilla combination tells much of the story, and it’s straightforwardly a very lovely mix, one of my all-time favorite inspired expressions.

It’s currently out of stock on the Dua Brand website but hopefully will be back at some point—it’s a gem!

Very helpful Review 12
Is it Christmas again?
Do you know these still lifes/ arrangements in plates, with which some decorate their home?
Cinnamon sticks, dried woods, oranges and the like on a Leonardo plate (- and in my mind just one question: is this art or can it go)?
Here we have something like that, only without the dust catcher factor.
So if I wanted to rival the decorations at Christmas and shout to the world, or rather whisper quietly "I'm the most delicious cookie since the invention of the oven", this would probably be my first choice.

My speech to the (my surrounding) world would begin with:

"Thank you to everyone who has come, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you, Bergamot and Orange, for being here."
Then, at that moment, a picture of them smiling and waving proudly would very briefly fade in on the screen. After that, they're gone. Apparently they're not that into my rambling speeches or wanting to go to the Christmas market.
"Lavender sends his apologies, he's sick today, having overexerted himself during his last exorcism. His part is taken over today by Cinnamon, thank you very much for that! Cinnamon is so versatile. Did you know that it's used in Chinese cuisine for seasoning meats and they really think it's beyond whimsical to add it to desserts? Well..." (brief pause at this point)
"Thank you, Jasmine, what were you trying to say? I didn't hear you! Don't be shy, feel free to come to the lectern and share it with everyone." (...)
"Yeah, right! There's a Christmas discount promotion. Caramel! Caramel Delight! Caramel chocolate chip cookies, on sale today for only fifty-five!"
(Murmuring in the audience) "Yeah, okay, we used vanillin instead of vanilla, but it doesn't make any difference to you, my adoring gluttonous philistines, anyway, the cookies are great! Dig in.
Merry Christmas!"

My speech, like Caramel Delight, is only fitting for Christmas.
Since in many areas it is recommended to be anti-cyclical, I'm glad in this case that this candy here is not a performer or even a sillage monster, so you would go with it his colleagues in the office not or only barely on the nose, hihihi (yes, I laugh at my own jokes), because Caramel Delight becomes after one, at the latest two hours pretty skin deep.
But for that it lasts a really long time, just like the decorative dust catchers mentioned at the beginning - and you have to get just as close to them to convince yourself that they still smell.
Whoever chose the term "citrusy-gourmand": there's no cookie for it from me! The seconds-long appearance of (I'll call them cheekily at this point) citrus, bergamot and orange (whichever one, it's not clearly a blood orange) can hardly have inspired this term.
Or could it?
Well.
Enough sweet talk.
As for evaluating value for money in perfume, I have a very hard time doing that unless it's LaRive or the Adventurer.
For the ~60€ (including shipping) but could have been happy to make a little more effort in the bottle.
A glued label, really now?!
So I would give him away for Christmas reluctantly, unless I have sometime again the honor to test Lira and then find that I have to do it here with the better version.

Merry Christmas, ladies and gentlemen!
Eat cookies and stay healthy!

Comparing to Lira, this is more citrucy, making it wearable in hotter weather (spring-fall) and by a man. Lira for me is feminine & I love it
