Very close, finally this DNA again after 10 years
I never forgave Dior for the reformulation of DHI in 2007. DUA has really captured the DNA very well - both the lipstick-powder opening and the drydown into warm vanilla.

This thing lasts incredibly long - I sprayed it yesterday at 7 PM, so over 20 hours ago, and it is still clearly present on my arm ... that's absolutely top-notch.

Next time, I would gladly like a larger bottle, then I will have my new, old best friend for winter again.

The Dispute Between Dupe and Original
Ah yes, Dua is a creature all its own. Looking at the recent forum posts, one quickly realizes that Dua or other dupe companies do not necessarily enjoy goodwill in the community.
One might ask what the reason for this is. Are there perfume purists who look at dupe companies with disdain? Or is it the anger that dupes actually come close to their beloved originals, and that only (partially) for a fraction of the price?
But that is not what this comment is about :) This comment is dedicated to Dua Intense Homme. On Dua's homepage, it is described as an "inspiration" based on the Dior Homme Intense from 2007. So, a dupe. Period. We don't need to discuss that. What we do need to discuss is how close the Dua actually comes to the original. Since I was a proud owner of the 2007 Dior Homme Intense for some time, I believe I am quite justified in sharing my opinion on this. Let's get started:

The Bottle:
Well, we don't need to discuss this. Simpler than simple. Dua claims that this cuts costs, but I am quite sure that for a little money, one could organize a better bottle.

The Scent:
The scent has now "matured" for a few months and has taken on a nice dark yellow color.
The fragrance starts slightly bitter with a certain sweet spiciness. Something I also noticed in the original. In the background, there is a powdery element joining in.
After a while, the bitter note fades into the background, and the sweetness comes more to the forefront. I perceive a vanilla note. I also think I can detect slight woody notes.
I wouldn't say that the dupe smells 100% like the original. In my opinion, Dior Homme Intense has a bit more depth. This is something I have noticed with most Dua scents. They all smell close to the original, but still lack that certain something...
You really can't complain about the longevity and sillage. The scent can be smelled from halfway across the apartment and lasts forever on the skin.

Conclusion:
You can hardly get close to the 2007 version of Dior Homme Intense anymore. Is Dua Intense Homme now the alternative to the "Holy Grail" of the Dior line? Yes and no, I would say. Shipping and the accompanying taxes can make the scent quite an expensive affair. As for the scent, everyone should try it at least once. Whether the comparatively high price of a dupe is worth it is something one must decide for themselves.
I personally like the scent. For me, it represents a good alternative to a fragrance that you can no longer get these days.
But as always: Make your own judgment about the scent :)

This is how I remember Dior Homme (2005): not sweet, proper lipstick, slightly bitter, lasts forever. Dua can call it Intense, yes.

A beautiful powder explosion, it gets softer over time, a total feel-good perfume.

I unfortunately don't know the vintage version of DHI, but this one is definitely cooler than the current version. Powdery and sweet!

He may share the power with Vintage DHI, but not the elegance. Vanilla + lavender feel artificial. A bitter note is off-putting. Exhausting.

My 2019 DHI is a shadow of itself compared to this one.
This one delivers hours of vintage DHI feeling with just 2 sprays!!!

Wonderful clone of DHI with a room-filling sillage and long-lasting wear. The only thing that bothers my scent receptors is the lavender, but I'm particular about that.

Closer to the original DHI than the new DHI. However, there’s a cheap-smelling, headache-inducing base note typical of this type.

Beautiful scent with extreme H/S, but you don't necessarily have to buy it instead of the normally available DHI. That being said...

The first minutes are bitter, but then warm vanilla comes through, not too sweet with light woody notes. Perfect. Later, after hours, just dark chocolate.
