Wearing Azurēe (2015) still a bit challenging because of the bitterness, but it seems to 'grow on me'...and the fresh, zesty notes in it are so lovely...should be getting a back up bottle maybe because the price is relatively low at the moment, I think that is because of the transition to the (way overpriced!!) legacy line.

Au Delà - Narcisse

“I smell freaking fantastic.” This is the thought that runs through my mind whenever I wear this and it is fragrance number one in this month’s rotation. I’ve been looking forward to it for weeks.

An absolute banger of a white floral chypre. Perfect balance of heady indoles and fresh green-ness. Longevity is impressive. I adore narcissus and here it is blended so beautifully with jasmine and neroli.

I went on a chypre sample bender a few months ago trying to learn more about the structure and the role of oakmoss and that’s how I discovered Au Delá Narcisse. Far and away my favorite. Glamorous, cozy, slightly eccentric. I do, I smell freaking fantastic.

Icon was today’s scent. And a new note emerged: Oud.

Later this evening when Icon mostly had faded someone was talking about Interlude Man so I went and tried my sample again. I like it, somehow. Before I couldn’t really stay with it but it’s much more inviting this time. Maybe I am getting rid of my bias against incense.
