XerJoff (SOSPIRO) / Laylati (Afgano Puro)
In a nutshell - this perfume is like the sister of Black Afgano. Why sister? Because they smell very similar to him with a slight difference - they are more balsamic, vanilla and musky. I think they may even and more like the fair sex in relation to BA. Besides - they are very similar to him.
The durability is very long: about 10 hours with good projection. I recommend to fans of fragrances similar to BA, FORTIS.
Take, try, don't regret it ... one, two, three ...

In the Night, All Bottles Are Gray
Laylati means something like night according to my modest knowledge of Arabic (well, I googled it). And in the night, as we know, not only cats but also bottles are gray. And if we were to set aside the bottle (even though it is beautifully velvety violet) and just sniff what the content has to offer, then we also understand why this Eau de Parfum was originally called Afgano Puro.

What I’m getting at: here we clearly have another Black Afgano ... well, I don’t want to say copy, but the perfumer (why is he not mentioned for such an expensive brand as Sospiro???) whoever that may be, clearly had that one in olfactory sight ... let’s say it’s a reminiscence ... before us!

Perhaps a little softer, maybe a bit less incense-heavy - but just as dark, herbal, woody, spicy, resinous, and mystical with animalistic undertones, that the name Laylati is justified in this sense.

I wouldn’t put too much faith in the pyramid either, as it theoretically deviates too much from the original. It may be that I’m attributing something to the scent, but believe me: if you like Black Afgano but would rather have the same in green or in this case in violet from Sospiro with a timid vanilla finish and want to get it at a somewhat cheaper price compared to the 100 ml, you can just as well indulge here.

Moreover, due to the absence of incense (however it was replaced by something else), the risk of headaches is largely mitigated. Nevertheless, both projection is nearly hall-filling and longevity is good for almost two nights.

May the night be with you!

not a surprising blind buy
First of all: the perfume was a blind buy. Why? 1. because there was no sample available here in the souk and 2. because I was blown away by Black Afgano, so what could go wrong when about 90% of the people here think that the two smell almost identical? Well, actually nothing, and it has remained that way - no drama there.

Can this perfume replace BA? No.
Is it a lighter alternative? Yes (for me)
The scent does indeed remind me very much of BA when sprayed. But somehow something is missing; BA has this "warmth" or "sweetness" for me, which is not the case with Laylati. At least that's how my nose perceives it. Laylati is more austere, fresher, and greener.

The sillage is not as strongly perceivable to me as I would have expected, but maybe it just smells that way to me. I couldn't ask my surroundings about it at that time. The longevity on my skin is about 8 hours.
Since this is my first full-size Xerjoff, I was really impressed by the quality of the bottle and also by the great packaging in which it was sent to me from Italy.

Would I buy it again? Probably not.
Do I regret the purchase? Absolutely not.

The woody cousin of Black Afgano who walks around with a knife
I love Black Afgano; at some point, I heard that Laylati is supposed to resemble it, but is significantly more balsamic and wearable in everyday life. Given the price of Black Afgano, I naturally had to test it.

Wow - it feels like a blade to me. It has the Black Afgano vibe, just in green and piercing, but in a pleasant way - I find it fantastic. I also find it more suitable for everyday wear, as BA is more of a scent for its own category of occasions for me. Laylati aka Afgano Puro is initially mysterious, semi-piercing, and definitely has its own "dark, heroic daredevil aura" - hehe, that's me! Sillage and longevity are very good, as expected from Xerjoff. In the drydown, it calms down; a wonderful balsamic-dark, woody vanilla/tobacco scent remains, which develops into a wolf-like beast that reappears, standing in the night in the woods, suddenly staring at you from nowhere with dark red sparkling eyes, then the beast turns around and disappears into the depths of the night. It shows that it is there, could tear you apart, but is peaceful and therefore does nothing. Odd comparison, I know - but what can I say, I'm just a quirky person. If Black Afgano is in the middle, then Terroni is to the right, because it has the earthy, resinous, smoky essence of Black Afgano, while Laylati is to the left, as it unites the piercing, spicy, sharp edge of Black Afgano.

I think Laylati can be worn all year round, depending on the dosage, of course. In summer and spring, it can feel cool, while in winter and autumn, it can feel warm.

As someone with a good collection of fragrances, I must say that Laylati is in the running for signature scents! Certainly a polarizing fragrance that won't appeal to everyone. However, I love it.

This is my new signature
I smelled the fragrance some time ago in a perfume store and immediately tested it on my skin. At first spray, I was a bit surprised, as the scent was not very pleasing to my nose and seemed rather "niche." However, since it never left my mind, I tried it again after a few weeks and had a small decant made for me. This time, I was instantly smitten and bought the bottle the next day.
It reminds me of a type of cake from my childhood, though I can't quite pinpoint which one. I just have this strange association with cake. :,D
In any case, this scent simply makes me addicted.

Noble, woody, mouthwatering, and in the dry down, I actually smell a bit of oud, even though it's not listed.
The longevity and sillage are amazing. When I come home from work in the evening, my apartment still smells of it, and I can still perceive it well on myself.

I can't say much about the similarity to Black Afgano. I only smelled that once on a friend. For me, Laylati has something that reminds me of my childhood, which Black Afgano did not.
I wouldn't recommend it as a blind buy, but definitely try it out if you're looking for something special. For me personally, it's the best scent from the V-Collection. (I also own and like Accento very much, but I find Laylati to be a bit more special.)

Sounds proper on rainy days or on a sea shore. For me it is a smell of achievement, respect and wealth. Just pray for rain, guys.

Opens boozy & woody with some dark tones, but dries surprisingly simple - mostly cedar w/ mild tobacco & patchouli. Masculine, spring-fall.

Synthetic-seeming black Afghan: very sweet, between the West and the East, intentionally modern. There are better options in this range.

Dreamy start, aromatic and gentle, then it transforms into a
diluted version of Black Afgano. BA light for beginners to ease into.

Making Black Afgano more animalistic doesn’t improve it. But family tester M likes it.
