Nφvae Vanilla Atelier des Ors 2025

A vanilla that plays with the contrast between sweetness and darker undertones. Right after spraying, I get this creamy, slightly medicinal vanilla (maybe some mineral notes?), but it’s not cloying — there’s also a hint of incense. It feels like an ancient, almost mystical vanilla. After about half an hour, it softens a lot. Those sharp-ish opening notes melt into a warm amber glow, with a resinous, slightly balsamic touch. It’s a grown-up vanilla — elegant, and kind of meditative, really.

This was an IMMEDIATE love for me on the skin. So much so I told my husband that was what I wanted for Valentine's day! It is stunning on my skin. A true delectable and luxurious Vanilla. It is NOTHING like either Vanilla powder ( I own both of them) . This is in a league of its own. I will forever want this in my collection.

I desperately wanted to love this due to the stunning bottle and almost blind bought it based on wanting an atelier des ors bottle but sadly the scent doesn't work for me.
It does the same thing vanilla powder does where the musk overpowers everything else and all I get is a fuzzy unpleasant musk smell.
At first spray, I got the mineral vanilla which was pleasant but the musk comes out as it dries down and I can't get anything else.
Not for me.

I got a small sample of this when I purchased a different perfume in Paris. Only after leaving Paris did I end up testing the sample and completely falling in love. Not immediately but the little paper card with the scent that stayed in my pocket kept haunting me like a delicious delirium.

Every time I took my phone out of my pocket, every time I used that coat that had the paper I had the most delicious waft of vanilla that 2-3 months later is still in that pocket. I could t forget it and I couldn’t get over it.

Fast forward to me obsessing over it and treasuring that little sample or two months, m partner gifts me this perfume for our anniversary.

Now that we have the story out of the way, I can’t rave enough about this fragrance. It’s such a rich, smooth, boozy vanilla with musk that is intoxicatingly delicious. I don’t understand the negative reviews but I know perfume is entirely personal. For me this is signature scent worthy treasure. It feels like I’ve dipped vanilla beans into a caramel bourbon and then put a fire under it to let all the sweet aromas diffuse.

It lasts forever, it smells amazing. It reminds me a bit of Fascent’s Creme Brulee though that one us a little less boozy and more sweet. I own and love both.

There's an aromachemical in this that's similar to that in Vanilla Powder and I hate it. I wanted to love this so much, but it just doesn't smell like vanilla at all. It smells like a synthetic mess. It’s too bad because I do love this house and their bottles are amazing. Another full bottle purchase saved :-)
