A popular perfume by Boadicea the Victorious for women and men, released in 2012. The scent is floral-spicy. Projection and longevity are above-average. It is still in production.

Midnight at Full Moon at the Crossroads

At this eerie hour, wondrous things are said to happen in an enchanted forest. Some go there to wish for strange things, others to curse their neighbor, the wicked mother-in-law, or their unfaithful partner. It has never worked out.
What can one expect from a scent called "Lunar"? After all, one might hope for a moonlit path in a clearing, where bony fir trees sway in the wind. In the distance, a little owl calls, and on an old oak, a nightingale perches, trilling its love-drunk song. One could hope for silvery shimmering moonlight, for a flickering fragrance that has mysteriously captured the night.
But here? Here there are no night elves playing a harmonious tune on the shawm, nor does a white stag majestically stand in the meadow. No, some piglet has dumped its compost bin in the clearing, filled with unidentifiable fruit that is already fermenting. The wild boars and the nocturnal badger family no longer want to eat the fruit, for they know what happens when the alcoholic fermentation has already begun. Then they stumble drunkenly through the night, and in the distance, the wolves howl....

There are no will-o'-the-wisps flickering through the night, and fireflies have turned off their lights, for under a tree, a fat troll snores, rubbing his sweaty feet with birch tar every day and making calf wraps out of cinnamon cloth. He also burps lavender bubbles.

The wife of the forest troll has fainted because she couldn't handle the chaos of the booming scent notes; the troll husband rushes over and fans her with flowers, which only makes her worse. Thus, she mumbles: “And this for 480 gold pieces...”
Finally, Rumpelstiltskin comes dancing along and sings: “Oh how good that no one knows, that I spun Rumpelstiltskin!”

LUNAR - A Short Comment….
….because it was too long for a statement after all ;-)

I associate the moon (or its light) with a faint, milky glow, noble pallor, and cool-elegant restraint……perhaps even a bit of aloofness and distance…..

However, I certainly do not associate the moon with a colorful potpourri that has completely gone off the rails…..

LUNAR offers overripe fruit (just before fermentation), a fair amount of cinnamon-dusted clove, narcotic flowers, and a rather woody base that could perhaps be generously described as balsamic……

Above all, I perceive the scent as colossally “confused,” incredibly loud, and distinctly too much of everything….

Mindfulness, the stuff is smart!
First of all, as always, the explanation of the name, Lunar is foreign and means moon.
I believe this is the most expensive perfume I have ever smelled, and yes, I can, without wanting to brag, pick out all the ingredients listed up there in the fragrance pyramid.

Above all, the clove is prominent here. I will register "Epic" as its fragrance twin. Neither in the men's nor in the women's variant is there any clove according to the ingredient list, but I have believed for a long, long time that they at Amouage lie like printed.

So moving on, the clove in this Boadi is not just any clove, no, it is a Russian clove, and we all know what that means.
We start fruity, plum-like, bitter, I almost think of "Memoire" again from Amouage (never seen a plum) and then I am torn between grandma's rum pot and refreshingly young, orange, sugary mirabelles, all liqueur-like, but without a flag. Very smooth, delicious, juicy, zero doughy.
Clove remains stuck. Everything becomes rounder and finer, even finer than at Amouage, but as I said, those are also cheap Kik canister products compared to this one. What is mixed there is here crunched, scarified, and sliced. But what am I telling you, every child knows that.

In conclusion, if Carthusia does not get back to me regarding my application, I might try my luck with Boadi. Their language I also speak better, and at Harrods they probably won't remember after twenty years that they once threw me out. Maybe we both need a probation period.

Until then, please remain mindful here, if I make it to London, I will send you all the perfumes you want at cost price minus employee discount and samples on top. That's clear.

A floral bomb on a dark, resinous base. Nothing new, but a well-made, modern scent that feels a bit too overwhelming for me personally.

My first impression was immediately: Black Orchid.
Not quite as bold, but very similar.
Cinnamon flowers, woods, and patchouli.

The sun sets. The horizon glows in fiery colors. The spicy hour, floral, fruity, warm wood. Sweet. Ripe. Lush. Bright autumn hues.

Cacophony in cinnamon-spicy, fruity, woody, and wild-floral, orchestrated with Russian flair, a bit chaotic, quite bold.

Ergoproxy is right - I also immediately think of "Black Orchid by Tom Ford" but a bit lighter and sweeter (like fruit candy). Good!

Reminds me a bit of Black Orchid but less intense. Sweet fruits, lush flowers, a hint of cinnamon on a patch-amber-wood base.

In line with some people's idea of luxury: a bit too much of everything.
