This is what GOLD smells like in the truest sense of the word. A fragrance treasure from long ago.
Venezia has always been a scent that smelled of wealth and gold to me. 1996 was the year I acquired this fragrance. As a 19-year-old at the time, I had a job and money for fragrances, cosmetics, and clothing. I owe my youthful appearance, which I still have at 47, to these 3 factors in my life.
A combination of fashion, care, and clothing has shaped how I look today. Healthy eating and exercise are also a must.
I love fragrances but also extraits, so-called pure perfumes that smell more intense, yet don’t have to be “screaming.” Nevertheless, extraits differ from Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum.
The best example is the fragrances from Chanel, where the Eau de Toilette of the same scent smells slightly different from the pure perfume or Eau de Parfum.
But now to Venezia. For a while, this scent was my signature. I had all 3 fragrance concentrations (EDT, EDP, PARFUM) and also the bath and body line for the scent. Bath flakes, shower gel, body cream in the same design as the fragrance itself.
Today, I describe to you the elixir, the pure perfume. Gently, I open the cap, which resembles a cone or a "Don't get angry, man" figure. Immediately, pleasant aromas of stone fruits and berries escape.
I can smell the plum very well here. I call the plum here "golden plum," mixed with noble vanilla, some floral notes, and many more balsamic woody notes. The base note lasts for many hours, becoming slightly chocolate-like with fine marzipan notes. Heavily rich, carefully dosed. The twist here: The bottle stands on a red stair-like pedestal.
An extravagant scent, Venezia has remained to this day. The pure perfume transports me to beautiful (er) times gone by. For hours together or for the "big" appearance, this fragrance is a reliably seductive choice.
A similar scent that smells like gold is The One by D&G. Also festive, also heavily oriental, even though both have little to do with each other.
