The One Composite
The head accord is typical aquatic; citrus, grapefruit, the licked silver spoon of calone, the rosemary of Eau Sauvage.
And then, when it calms down, you get Cool Water : scratchy moss, citrus, aquatics, and fruit … even down to the crab apple.
Add to that the ‘sliced cactus’ of Xeryus Rouge, and the minty freshess of 1 Million, and it’s got the feel of a proto Spiky Woods.
It’s also powdery-sweet and spicy-aromatic with a woody ‘sequoia’ undertow -which is like Tommy, and there’s patchouli – which brings it back to Eau Sauvage.
Put it all together, and you’ve got a Guy Thing that’s so derivative it’s an invention by itself.

Given the chemical feel that surrounds this kind of thing, I have to say this one’s not bad, and I could imagine wearing it – if I was hanging out on Daytona Beach; but that’s something that ain’t gonna happen.
Maybe the Promenade des Anglais … but I’ll never do that either.

Typical sports fragrance...
At the start I thought I perceived some soft citrus, like lemon or bergamot with a hint of green apple. Since these notes are not declared, I must assume that these impressions are caused by the combination of aquatic notes with rosemary. I did not feel the cardamom as in other fragrances. It evolves towards soft wood, always influenced by the green note, Mediterranean style, with soft musk and patchouli.

It is not a fragrance that impresses me too much, neither good nor bad. Perhaps at the beginning it had some notes that vaguely reminded me of some fresh feminine fragrance, but actually it felt more like some spray deodorants and the finish is clearly masculine in my opinion, but too simple for my tastes.

Of moderate duration, it can give more than 6 hours, but close to the skin and with a low sillage. Clearly for informal use, I see it better for summer and spring, for the day, since it lacks complexity for the night.

Poor and Banal
The wave of sporty fragrances just won't stop - I can't shake the feeling that these perfumes are made especially for the very insecure customers, those who only timidly enter a perfume store once every two years, and can barely stutter: “Something fresh, please!”

The new The One Sport starts off appropriately with a citrus-green note that promises a bit more than it can ultimately deliver. Quite quickly, The One Sport becomes scratchy and bitter, with a slightly synthetic quality. A subdued freshness remains and extends into the base.

There is nothing new here; even in the realm of sporty scents, we've been further along, for example with the attractive Burberry Sport or the innovative Burberry Sport Ice. The One Sport, however, relies on familiar scent experiences from everyday life but leads nowhere. How poor, how meager! This fragrance reminds me of cheap shower gel from a discount store. Even brands like Axe offer something more interesting.

For me, The One Sport conveys the aura of people who cannot do anything good for themselves. Who else would be so modest as to expect nothing more than to smell like Aldi shower gel - and only with an overdose! The One Sport can only satisfy the very lowest of expectations. Somehow, I find it alarming that something like this is produced and bought.

In stark contrast to the former glamour of the D & G brand. Fifteen years ago, they created fantastic fragrances, and the remnants of “By Man” fetch dream prices today. But the decline of this brand would be a separate chapter.

Why isn't there a fragrance police that removes certain scents from the market due to their audacity?
What is too little is too little. Meaninglessness and audacity are written in capital letters at D&G.
Gucci by Gucci Sport and this one are practically competing to see which is more boring. And that brings us to the keyword: boredom.

You can't even criticize anything about this scent; it is so limited and unimaginative. I much prefer a fragrance that might provoke a reaction and make people think, asking themselves *smell*, *sniff*... "what's going on here?"
But this D&G is light-years away from that.

Longevity is out of the question. I could just use tap water; it lasts longer and is more interesting. I wouldn't dare to attribute any great development to this scent. Plastic lemon transitions into plastic freshness... period. Nothing more and nothing less. My dish soap in the kitchen laughs and is happy because it knows how good it smells now.

Why does there always have to be a middle ground produced... do people have so little self-confidence to wear Fleur du Male????????????

It can't be. Especially now is the time to wear those old Gaultier scents again. (I don't really count Kokorico as Gaultier). At the moment, everyone knows them, and it's almost nothing extraordinary to wear them, which is precisely why it's appealing in my eyes, because the wave is supposedly over.
Anyone can jump on the hype. When Gaultier was THE sensation, it was of course easy to ride that wave. Something new that everyone knows and thinks is great can be worn by anyone.

Oops... got a bit sidetracked... but it shows the trend a bit. The big designers want to risk nothing and not scare off the unsuspecting customers who just sniff the fragrance and go solely by the top note, not waiting for the development of the scent or testing it multiple times, and not considering which outfit the fragrance suits and for which occasion, and ideally, they want an all-rounder scent.
Oh, and the price for that is simply outrageous.

Sad but true. If one were to smell it without the label... it would land in last place.

No, no, this should not be supported.

Recently, when I was still naive
I thought d&g was something good. I thought a perfume was just a top note. I thought Douglas was a suitable environment to study a scent. I thought and thought and should have just smelled it. The punishment has since been sitting in the bathroom. It looks blocky, smells like a boys' locker room with a refreshing towel, and was at that time the completely misguided start of my deeper engagement with the world of fragrances; it simply has to get better now. :) Awesome.

It can't get much bolder than this. Even the water from my boiled egg has more sillage. Anyone who buys this is asking for trouble.

Even though it's nothing special, there are worse options even in a higher price range. Still, it's rather mediocre for D&G. Performance is also quite poor.

Not a masterpiece, but doesn't deserve such bad reviews.
Lightly sweet, fresh in a great bottle.
Long-lasting on my skin.

Hello Dolce & Gabbana, you make cool fashion and also good perfumes. But for or after sports, you can wear the scent yourself. Not me.

I love this top note, I'm blown away when I smell it. Unfortunately, that was it for The One Sport too. S+H=0. What a shame!

I disposed of it after trying it. Although described as fresh/aquatic, I found the scent overpowering and unpleasant...

A fresh, aquatic, synthetic scent - unfortunately, it fades away quickly.

Horrible, fresh flanker of The One that you can safely ignore.
