Smoky woody vanilla

Not sure what went wrong with the ratings here (6.9 at the time of writing this review), but this is a decent smoky woody vanilla scent on par with Sultan in my opinion. On Fragrantica it’s a 4/5 which seems more reasonable, and I think the Parfumo rating will catch up. In the air it’s mostly just sweet vanilla, but on skin some smoky depth can be felt. Not quite enough to be a myrrh accord, but there is some resinous material apparent as well. Pretty linear, though some reviews are stating they can perceive a cardamom note in the opening which I didn’t. Sillage is quite soft but it lasts a while.

Nuance on top of major mature smokey calm that Vanilla Firenze.

Amazing Black Pepper and heavy Cardamom in the abundant opening, bitter, woody, starts off smokey. Recognize the The Alchemist's Garden in this, very mature, important, builds a nostalgic sweet segment, slight bonbon Cola like, think Enigma Roja. Classic, way way modern and novel. Balanced resins kept in check at elegance level, clearly all high quality ingredients. Get the Vanillas blend more in the mid on, dry, definitaly an acquired taste, personally can't get enough of it, amongts the complete black label part of the collection, get mature nostalgic with the perfect neatness to it. Very much pleased with the nonsafe blind buy, accurate Fragrantica pyramid but recommend checking out Gucci for detailednnFew months in: Opens up Cola bonbons with the slight smoke, get a little almost iris powdery balsamic, no sweetness. Not a vanilla dominant, enjoyable warm overall, no spices. Very friendly mature feel to it, got the dry, got the complex, intense. Could be a fall winter all purpose if worn perfectly correct, pretty pungent so might mess scenarios up when more than one puffs applied from the, again infinitely amazing Alchemist's Garden's atomizer.

Amazing and completely new to me

As usual from the black line of the Gucci Alchemist Garden Collection, a proud bottle price of 345 euros. However, I must say that this fragrance is completely new and entirely unique to me. The scent was released in January 2025 and has been almost continuously sold out since then. The vanilla is strong and not artificial. Alongside it, there is a wonderful smoky note that makes the fragrance accessible to both men and women. I would describe it as neither feminine nor masculine. A perfect blend in my eyes.

I believe there was more potential here

Vanilla Firenze is essentially a solid fragrance.
However, I think it could have been even better.
There was more potential here.
The basic idea of combining a rather harsh and dry, yet somehow sweet vanilla with a pleasant smoky myrrh character is indeed good. Unfortunately, it somehow feels a bit uneven to me in parts.

The fragrance starts with this rather dry, but still slightly sweet vanilla. This slight smokiness is already hinted at in the background. There is also this very subtle floral character. I had actually guessed it was some kind of iris. But then I saw the notes and it was the iris.

After not too long, the myrrh accord becomes a bit more intense. I also feel like I can smell a bit of saffron. I think I can also recognize gentle woods in the background. The vanilla is still there, but now noticeably less sweet and just a notch drier.
It continues like this for my nose until the end.

The fragrance is super unisex wearable and has, in my opinion, quite appealing performance. The longevity on my skin is about eight hours, and I am very satisfied with that. It should be noted, however, that the sillage is somewhat milder. At first, the fragrance projects quite well, but then it noticeably becomes closer to the skin piece by piece.
