Lemony and gingery..................good enough for warm weather.
Something about the drydown or latter end of this scent just really intrigues me. Towards the end ginger, mint, lemon and maybe grapefruit combine to make an odd scent that I like to smell.

It has an odd beginning, maybe synthetic or lemon furniture polish-like of an aroma. This weird beginning to it goes away and moves on to a slightly spicey end life.

Dior's Homme Sport is just a tick or notch above this Kenzo sport scent, the ginger is sweeter and stands out more in that Dior fragrance.

This is lite and lasts well into the 5-6 hour range and radiates well off of my skin.

Somewhere there must be a nest
No experiments at Kenzo. Those familiar with the regular "Kenzo Homme" could roughly guess how the sport variant would turn out. After all, they had already transformed the once hospital-like cloud of the original scent into something resembling a water sportsman after several reformulations. And the combination of mint-vetiver-cedar had already appeared in a similar form in the flanker "Kenzo Homme Boisée." So aside from a hint more citrus in the top note, nothing really new is on the starting line.

The differences to the almost simultaneously released "L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme Sport" are equally minimal, which, unlike passive athletes like "Allure Homme Sport" or "Dior Homme Sport," directly addresses the heroes of butterfly and bench press.

It's all quite nice and doesn't offend the nose, but one wouldn't necessarily need a Francois Demachy for the grapefruit extension.

Issey scores better in direct comparison because it is more robust, dustier, and thus more distinctive.

The Alginator
Nowadays, we are overwhelmed by artificial flavors and enhancers. We no longer even know what real meat and real fruit taste like because we can produce both in tenfold intensity in the lab. And it’s similar with aquatic scents; however pleasant and fresh they may be: Only those who focus on their taste buds while eating sushi can distinguish algae from them. Algae have a fine, bitter-salty spiciness and are truly a delicacy.

The Japanese fashion label Kenzo thought the same and has prominently featured algae in its new sport variant. Particularly charming, because it pairs so well, is the addition of oak moss. This scent has, and in this it differs from the Aqua wave, nothing unisex about it; rather, it smells thoroughly of a man - a sporty guy who has just come out of the shower. And unlike the sometimes rather cool aquatic "fakes" with violet and melon, it even exudes a certain cozy warmth. It has a certain scent volume; the intensity does not just linger on the surface.

As a little orientation: Those who can warm up to Aqua Fahrenheit, which also retains the character of the original, might also take a liking to the sport variation of "Kenzo pour Homme." It differs significantly from "Aqva" by Bulgari in that it brings out less of the maritime iodized salt and instead more of the seaweed vegetable.

Unspectacular, but still lovable
I received a sample of this fragrance many months ago when purchasing a scent. I found it very unspectacular, but somehow interesting. I have several Kenzo fragrances in my collection, including the original Kenzo Homme, which I greatly appreciate. After several months of consideration, I added this one along with another flanker, Kenzo Homme Night, to my cart.
The bottle is the same as the original. However, the color is significantly less spectacular. I opted for 50ml, as I will never finish 100ml of this fragrance anyway. I probably won't finish 50ml either, but 30 euros is relatively affordable.
The fragrance was created by Francois Demachy, who has designed a lot for Dior. Most of his works appeal to me completely. Since Kenzo shares the same marketer as Dior, LVMH, the collaboration makes sense. From the beginning, it wasn't a scent I desperately wanted because it didn't blow me away. However, it has a certain charm that I find really interesting. It starts with a lot of bitter grapefruit. Mint is also present, which, in combination with the grapefruit and lemon, comes across as rather bitter and harsh. Not really well done. There’s also a nice spiciness that has a slightly seaweed-like quality. Very summery. This composition does not stand out through extraordinary moments but rather through its charm and modesty. Sometimes in the warmer season, I simply seek uncomplicated modesty.
I definitely don't see it as a sports fragrance. Rather, it's useful for after sports or in everyday life for me. The seaweed notes also work really well for a trip to the lake.
The performance could be a bit better, but it still holds its own. For a fresh fragrance, it’s in the middle range.
Overall, it’s a composition that appeals to me. A scent that makes me look forward to warmer days.

For Dinner After Sports
Although characterized by bitter grapefruit notes, this fragrance is not necessarily slim. The bitter and sharp-spicy notes, which could also come from chicory and citrus peel, are fully expressed and stand out from the sweetness of tonka bean and almond like a relief. A remarkable scent that I currently enjoy letting dance under my nostrils. With a touch of menthol, it would be even better.

Definitely NO, it smell like a herbal hair oil, a dark one.

Too complicated and heavy for a sport fragrance. Great after sports or for the lake though. Very herbaceous and seaweed-like. Recommended purchase.

More of a sporty business and everyday scent for Aquaman, who lives sugar-free and likes the smell of pencils. Grown-up and a nice casual change.

Cool-minty-sweet, a bit heavy and dull for a sport scent. Location: swimming lake with reeds and algae, perfect to wear.

Starts citrusy, slightly floral like Kenzo, creamy musky, then transforms into a rather bland aquatic scent with a lot of Ambroxan.

Unlike other "sport" fragrances, this one is truly light enough for that and not so aquatic, but rather green, fruity, and vetiver-sharp.
