Louis Vuitton, is that you?!
Actually, I was looking for a dupe for Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum.
I already tested Suddenly Madame Glamour, which I liked quite a bit, but it wasn't THE one yet.
So I decided to just test some other dupes of CM during my next drugstore visit.
I had my hands full, as it usually is. From laundry detergent to fabric softener and snacks. Quickly sprayed some on my wrist with one hand and off to the checkout. First thought: damn - I must have grabbed the wrong bottle.
Three minutes later in the car, I can't keep my nose off my hand, but this is definitely not directly Coco Mademoiselle for me. But somehow even better. It's fresher, more pleasant, much more suitable for everyday wear. Not as piercing, heavy.
Immediately, Attrape-Rêves came to my mind. It smells exactly the same to me, 1:1.
So I rushed home and sprayed my beloved Louis Vuitton on my other hand.
And definitely no doubt, the scent is for me a perfect dupe to Attrape Rêves. Even in terms of fragrance notes, I compared Attrape-Rêves, Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum, and this scent, and it definitely resembles the Louis Vuitton more than the Chanel.
But how does the scent smell?
At first, it smells totally fruity, pleasant, slightly sour. Maybe even slightly reminiscent of a nice, fruity shampoo. Less scratchy than the CM.
It's transparently lightly citrusy. Less heavy and perfumey.
Fruity, pleasant, perfect everyday scent. Youthful, not quite as grown-up as the classic CM.
I can hardly believe my luck, and I wonder very much why no one has stumbled upon this similarity yet.
Like many other opinions, I must honestly say that for me, the scent is not a dupe to the CM.
For CM, Madame Isabelle would be the dupe instead. (Which I haven't tested, so I can't give a strong opinion on that yet)
I'm blown away, and I will definitely get a few backup bottles right away, better safe than sorry.
